How Wonderful is Your Holy Name!

How we love to give You The Glory.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

My earliest memory is that of my Mom, opening the door to the cellar and holding my hand as the two of us peered down into the darkness at a rising tide of black floodwater surging up the stairs. The Red Cross came in a small boat and evacuated us. I remember coming onto the porch, at which the white wooden boat was tied, and Mom holding my hand with one hand and and clutching my newborn brother Tommy with the other as we climbed into the boat together. I was four years old at the time, and I can still visualize the entire scene with crystal clarity.
A Flood is relentless and unstoppable. It is used here to symbolize the persecution and onslaught of the enemy. The Dragon (Satan) spews forth his flood of persecution against the Woman (Who symbolizes both Israel and Christianity) and causes her to flee into the desert. However, she is not alone. An Angel of God causes the Earth to swallow up the Flood of Evil.

It is interesting that the white boat that rescuesd My Mom, Tommy, and Me, had a Big Red Cross on it.
