After so much rape has been done against Christian women in Iraq, 600 Christians in Iraq have now taken up arms to make one final stand against Muslim Jihadists, members of the ISIS terrorist group, at the frontiers of the Christian settlement of Bartella on the outskirts of Mosul.

These 600 Christians, “all mighty men of valour” (1 Chronicles 12:21), are led by Capt. Firaz Jacob, a Christian warrior who has himself declared with the utmost of apostolic zeal:

I stand here waiting for my destiny… We will stay here despite everything… All these armed groups we have seen, but nevertheless we will remain. We love our Christian way of life, we love our churches and we love our community.

Bartella was suppose to be protected by the Iraqi government, but state soldiers fled from ISIS, leaving the Christians to take up their cross and commence a crusade to keep the jihadists away from their lands.According to one report:

The Iraqi government soldiers who were supposed to be protecting this area ran away from the Islamic extremists. Now, Bartella is defended by about 600 lightly armed Christian militiamen.

I wouldn’t have a problem with them taking each other out at all...in fact there is going to come a day where they will do exactly that...in the confusion of war...and it doesn’t take much to confuse them anyway...they never really know who they are fighting from one day to another because it doesn’t matter to them......They are so programmed for death, either taking life or having theirs taken,( because either way it’s their ticket for Islamic Glory,) that to not fight is utter humiliation before their Moon God and their people.... It’s a disgusting, vile and murderous culture.

I am not sure what they are thinking. I am still trying to figure out why my BIL smuggled Bibles into China some years back. He got caught. But I guess if their interior life is telling them that is where they must go, then they have to go. But they should not go as doves, they should go as hawks.

I have a problem with the Jesus turned the other cheek, so you have to as well, or you are not a Christian. Jesus, as you will recall caused quite a disturbance in the temple.

It is politically incorrect to use the word Crusade, but the other side only understands force. As we well know part of the reason this is happening is that our leaders tried to nicey, nice their way out of these things. We are perceived as weak and they will keep coming after us as long as we stay week.

I have long admired Israel, they don't screw around. You hit them, they hit back. Leave turning the other cheek, for people who leave the cap off the toothpaste.

I think it's fine sending Bibles in and for those who are genuinely called to foreign nations. But when you're going into a known hostile nation in the ME, where it's clearly against 'their laws' to convert their people and as a Christian you basically shun their law...then you're leaving yourself open for being attacked, and possibly be imprisoned or have your life taken.......so most should understand that risk before going. I agree that "turning the other cheek " is more times than not misapplied to many situations they end up finding themselves in, and often taken out of context. Like the verses which read ...eat, drink and be merry..doesn't mean you go out on the town.

I have no problem opposing Islam and it's teachings....I have a serious problem with those in our country who think we should accept those who practice Islam......they are not in this country to become Americans...rather to convert our nations peoples...and this includes when Christians make attempts to convert Muslims, who will tell you what you want to hear, engage in conversation, but their intent is to convert you.

I totally agree. I stay as far away from Muslims as I can. I don't mess with them but I stay away. When I was in Minnesota it was getting crazy. Now I am in South Dakota. Have not seen any here. But if we don't do something, then they will be everywhere.

As for the Bibles. I agree. I think that if you decide to go ahead with it, don't expect our government to get involved. I would never set out to be a martyr, but if it comes to denying Christ or death. I'll take death. But I will take as many of them out as I can on the way. St. Michael, pray for us!

Me too. I do see them now and then but very few in this area...though for a time they seemed to be multiplying. This is basically a red-neck area and you simply won't find people here putting out the welcome mat...so they don't stay long.

I was in a community in Ohio and saw one of the woman with the burka walking thru the super market....sent the chills up my spine.... just a very narrow slit for her eyes....best I can say was it was foreboding how she moved thru the store. I was very uncomfortable.

About 7 years ago I had gotten married and moved to Minnesota. I had some friends from Indiana come and we went to the Mall of America. The place was lousy with Burkas, working at the mall, I thought they were not allowed to work?

Now the ones who merely wear a head covering, I am OK with that. It does not freak me out. worked with women who just wore a hat or scarf. That was OK. As for the men. No use for them!

I frankly don't want any of them here....period. And there should be no special privileges for wearing scarfs in any business....dress code for all. ..period.
