Magic Underwear & Magic Food

Mormons have some really weird beliefs. For example, many (all) Mormons believe they (males only) can take a cooking/salad oil, pour just a small drop on the crown of your head and their god will heal them of almost anything.

Mormons believe that by wearing ugly underwear bought from a specific company, their god will protect them from harm.

Mormons believe that by wearing a really weird looking costume they are taught secret ways to touch angels so after they die, the angels will let Mormons get into heaven quicker.

Mormons believe their god requires women to not wear outer clothing that covers their crotch (pants) to worship their god in a large and spacious room (chapel).

Mormons believe that a little torn piece of bread and a small sip of water that has been chanted over and then swallowed will require their god to forgive them for their sins.

Mormons believe by consuming certain foods and wearing funny looking clothes god loves them more than the rest of the humans.

It is the same with all parents. We love our children more or less depending upon how ugly their clothes are and how they consume small bits of food items.

The Mormon god must have a sense of humor watching his "SPECIAl" children called Mormons think this makes god love them the most.

Mormons believe that all these conditions make mormonism "the one and only true church in the world."

"We do not join associations of clergy or councils of churches. We keep our distance from the ecumenical movements. The restored gospel is the means by which Christians must ultimately be united."

No, not bigotry. The Mormon faith is a cult.

Faith in a peaceful god is a good thing, even if wrong, half right, confused, or just plain old goofy.

There are other solicitors out there of great evil intention.

When Mormans fly planes into buildings, then I will worry about what they believe

All religions have beliefs and rituals such we could all make fun of.

Liberals have their beliefs and rituals and articles of faith, such as belief in global warming, that we can make fun of also.

Talk about pride!

Just what do you think you can give/do to the ONE that created all?

All we have is breath for a short while, and even that is on loan to us.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

I am not Mormon but why do you care what they believe?

If you really want to see bazaar beliefs look at the Muslim religion.

Mormons are not bombing and killing people that do not believe their way.

One could argue that a number of religions have strange practices.

As a Catholic, I take issues with these practices and beliefs in my Church.

1) Compulsory clerical celibacy-—Nothing in the Bible mandating such a draconian policy, in fact priests and bishops in the Bible were married men.

2) The belief that Mary herself was conceived of an immaculate conception, even though no mention of this in the Bible.

3) Belieft that Mary was ALWAYS a virgin even though Jesus’s brothers and sisters are mentioned in the Bible.

4) The idea that the Pope is “infallible” is patently laughable. Popes, like the rest of us mere mortals, are sinners and do make mistakes from time to time.

I suppose we could find faults with all religions including our own from time to time.

In the many years I was an active mormon, I had never heard of any of those exagerations
Good for a laugh today , especially given today's headlines !

Wow. Never heard that one before. What's the reasoning behind it?

Is that what FR is about?

The world is going to heck in a hand basket, and stuff like this gets posted.

Half the comments could be applied to other religions....

I looked into Mormonism, and could not personally buy into their beliefs (the list you provide could be made longer).

But I do love me some Mormons for being good neighbors, good citizens, and encouraging strong families. And Marie Osmond - I’ve long had a crush on her.
