Locust

(Exodus 10:4)


 Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper.
(Leviticus 11:22)


1 The word of the Lord that came to Joel son of Pethuel. An Invasion of Locusts 2 Hear this, you elders;
    listen, all who live in the land.
Has anything like this ever happened in your days
    or in the days of your ancestors?
3 Tell it to your children,
    and let your children tell it to their children,
    and their children to the next generation.
4 What the locust swarm has left
    the great locusts have eaten;
what the great locusts have left
    the young locusts have eaten;
what the young locusts have left
    other locusts have eaten.
(Joel 1:4)


3 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” 3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.’”

4 John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. 5 People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. 6 Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

9 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Lord God,

We thank you for the distractions in the world's media as Israel continues it's missions.... We know you.. and for that we can rest with the assurance and absolute certainty that in the end your will will be done throughout the World even though much is far from Peaceful today.

We ask that you give Bi-Bi and all those making decisions wisdom and stamina at this time...that they would seek your ways as they determine the steps they take...and that you would guide those decisions according to your plans for Jerusalem...and all the surrounding areas.

We are so grateful Lord, that you know the minds and hearts of all men and are using these difficult and troubling times to draw those to yourself who would come. May your Spirit's work accomplish all you've determined for each and every individual appointed.

Thank you for this great privilege to bring before you these events happening, and the trust in you've given us that none of this goes without being seen by your watchful eye. In your son's name we pray with grateful hearts, Amen
