Famed pastor Creflo Dollar is living up to his name these days. He apparently heard about all the great projects and dreams that have benefitted from crowd-funding sites like GoFundMe. So the televangelist decided to create his own for a very noble cause: to get his followers to fund a brand new $65 million airplane.
Creflo’s church, The World Changers Church International, owned a private aircraft that recently suffered engine failure mid-flight. Luckily, no one onboard was injured and the plane landed safely. However Dollar, whose estimated net worth is $27 million, insists that the only way he can reach God’s people is tucked pretty inside the cabin of a $65 million Gulfstream G650 airplane.
“The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality — and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years,” Dollar’s appeal noted.
The collection plate doesn’t stop there. Once enough funds are collected to buy the aircraft, Dollar and his ministry will continue to charge congregations he’s visiting a hefty fee for the plane’s fuel costs. Church representative Kayla Dollar said in an interview last year, “[Creflo] does not have a set honorarium now but he does just ask for half of his fuel to be paid while travelling and then anything else if you want to add just as a love offering, would be fine,” she explained. In the same interview, Dollar indicated that a flight to New York City from his base in College Park, Georgia would cost in the ballpark of $4,750.
Maybe one of Dollar’s noble servants should tap him on the shoulder and inform him that Harsfield-Jackson International airport is still open for business. This isn’t the first time GoFundMe has been exploited for superficial gain. Just recently, a young woman set up a GoFundMe account to sponsor her trip Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas.

I would think Mrs Dollar’s naming concept of calling begging for money as “a love offering” should actually be “a love of money offering.”

I’ve only seen Mammon Dollar once on TV in a boarding area at Love Field in Dallas - on a Sunday morning. I could NOT believe how many idiotic faces were gazing at the TV screen that day....
I then understood that the world is full of selfish people who give money to these ‘preachers’ - out of their own selfishness.
P.S. I’m judging general behaviors and public statements of the Prosperity here - whatever anyone thinks of this is an individual decision between them and God.

That should be entertaining, watching how they excuse that sucking off the livelihood of others in the name of God.

Works are not necessary for Salvation,
Grace is necessary for Salvation, but, that's BUT I say,
Work is necessary to spread the Word of Grace throughout the world,
The World be a big place,
So, as night follows day, one needs a
Plane to get around the world and get that work done!
When The Reverend Creflo Dollar says, "Stop sitting on your wallet and send me 3 hundo for a new plane, do it.
If you don't, you are preventing souls from receiving the Word of Grace and, BTW, could be endangering your own Salvation!
Besides, God has told The Reverend Creflo Dollar and many another Prosperity Gospel Preacher, that the more you give him, the more HE (The Big Guy) will get into your bank account on Earth, and get you to Heaven besides.
You going to risk that for a crummy $300? For $300? Bad Bargain.
Send that money today!
But wait, perhaps you are not a Christian but a Muslim? Somewhat the same explanation: Allah The All Wise and Merciful says you must support the jihad of another. Or else. (Please note that The Reverend Creflo Dollar does not recommend killing those who remain willfully ignorant of his Word.)

People need a figurehead. Whereas a nobody who has done well financially might be envied or resented, there’s a sentimental desire for the figurehead to succeed “for” the flock, aka the teacher-pleasing little suck-ups.
Creflo Dollar gets this like every other snake gets it. And he works it! He gets on that plane and “represents” for The People.
