Atheists May Mount More Challenges to Ten Commandments Monuments

Those who don’t believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but do profess an overwhelming belief in the constitutional separation of church and state, may soon have to round up their lawyers and head to Arkansas under the banner of the organization known as American Atheists, Inc.

Arkansas state politicians have approved legislation to build a Ten Commandments monument, which would be paid for with private donations, on the grounds of their state Capitol in Little Rock.

American Atheists, Inc. does not have a problem with the Ten Commandments or building monuments, per se, to immortalize the basic tenets of the Christian religion.

Danielle Muscato, the organization’s communications manager, told PJM that atheists only have a problem with building Ten Commandments monuments on government property, such as what happened in Oklahoma and may soon happen in Arkansas.

“And private donations do not resolve the endorsement of a specific religion by the state,” the transgendered woman, formerly known as David, said.

Well, Muscato said, American Atheists, Inc also has one more bone of contention with Christians.

“We have a real problem with Christians pushing their religion on us,” Muscato said.

American Atheists fought and lost a battle in March to get Oklahoma to tear down the state-sanctioned Ten Commandments monument that was built on the lawn of the Oklahoma Capitol grounds in 2012.

Federal judge Robin J. Cauthron dismissed the lawsuit brought by American Atheists and two Oklahoma residents. Cauthron ruled the plaintiffs did not have “standing” in the case, which means they did not suffer an “injury in fact,” because of the monument.

Cauthron found the plaintiff, who said she had suffered harm, had not even seen the monument enough times to make the claim credible.

Cauthron pretty much accused American Atheists, Inc. of bringing a couple of ringers into the courtroom.

Citing U.S. Supreme Court precedent, the judge observed the plaintiffs “do not have a special license to roam the country in search of government wrongdoing.”

“This is another victory for the state of Oklahoma and one more affirmation that the Ten Commandments monument can remain on display at our State Capitol,” Scott Pruitt, the attorney general of Oklahoma, said.

Liberty Institute, which describes itself as the “largest legal organization dedicated solely to defending and restoring religious liberty in America,” assisted the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office in defending the six-foot-tall monument.

So, it should come as no surprise that Arkansas lawmakers who have approved legislation to build a Ten Commandments monument on the lawn of their state Capitol have already teamed up with Liberty Institute just in case court action is required to save the monument.

The legislation still needs Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s (R) signature before construction can begin.

Muscato did not know if American Atheists would take the Arkansas case to court. In fact, the organization had not heard about the legislation before PJM contacted her at the group’s annual convention in Memphis.

“The problem is that they are building these monuments on government property,” Muscato said. “If they were on private or church property, that would be fine. Or if all religious organizations had an equal chance (to build) on government property, that would be okay, too.”

And she stressed atheists, by and large, don’t have a problem with the Ten Commandments.

Follow the money. We have to look at all of these leftists attack groups whether they are atheists, gays, feminists, black civil rights, environmentalists, they ALL have their hands in the pie. I believe that all of the leftist groups are getting money from taxpayers that is being funneled to them through the Democrats. We have to investigate this.

Who would have a problem with the 10 commandments? Other than the first, any normal human being would have to agree the commands make a lot of sense. Obeying them would usher in an age of world peace free of disease (dis-ease) and no man would be harmed by another in any way. And it's the first Commandment, like the First Amendment, that keeps man kind free from a totalitarian human rule.

Have no other God - When God is removed, imperfect human tyrants take his place.
Have no idols - When objects or actions become more valuable than human life, human life becomes less valuable than a discarded diaper.
Do not use Gods name in vain - Who wants to listen to fowl mouths 24/7 that blame someone else for their own obviously bad decisions?
Make a day holy - Why not? Whats wrong with taking a day off once a week to reflect on your life and think about how to be a better person?
Honor your mom and dad - Of course you should. Where others "help" you for their own personal gain, the parents do what they do because they actually LOVE you.
Do not murder - Would it be better if we just kill for fun? Is this the kind of world we all want to live in? DUH!
Do not commit adultery - look around. Is divorce really such a wonderful thing? What about the abandoned children? The fatherless children? Is this a good thing for our society? Has it really been a good thing?
Do not steal - No one wants to be robbed. People work hard for what they earn, and the things they acquire via their wages are for them to enjoy. Stealing from others is so self serving, imagine if everyone stole from everyone. Houses would not only be armed to the teeth, but there would be bars on every window.
Do not lie - A lie against another punishes the innocent. Someone else suffers for a deed done by the liar. It's the farthest thing from justice.
Do not covet your neighbors goods - Your neighbors earned what they have. What right do you have to take it for yourself simply because you lust after it? Would you want this done to you?

Imagine if the whole world followed the Commandments opposites - political correctness. Man kind would become nothing but visious, hungry animals chasing after their own lusts and wallowing in their own stench and greed. Disease would run rampant, and children would starve. Everyone would be a victim, but at the same time everyone would be the villain. Infrastructure would crumble from lack of care, because everyone would be a victim demanding some imaginary villain be responsible for the repairs. The entire planet would be at war with itself.

...the transgendered woman, formerly known as David, said.

I'd like to know which of the commandments she/he/it objects to and why. How would the lack of that commandment make the world a more peaceful and better place.

How does she/he/it feel about taking away the rights of those who "choose" to read them?
If she/he/it "chooses" not to like them, does that mean she/he/it has the right to choose for everyone else and why?
Does carpet munching/Lewinsky's by a she/he/it give her/him/that a form of divinity? Does she/he/it feel she's/he's/it's a greater god/goddess/magic hermaphrodite that can rule the world because she/he/it has a nasty sex fetish that goes against and is greater than nature itself and natures God?

Christians have a real problem with Satanists pushing their religion on us.

We know who wins in the end.

***American Atheists, Inc.***

Isn’t this Madalyn Murray O’Hair’s group? When her atheist followers came for her and her family with the strangling cords and chainsaws, wonder if she exclaimed...”OH MY GOD!” or “OH MY ME!”

Honestly it’s the only thing they actually do and spend money on. If they didn’t harass Christians they’d do absolutely nothing.

Christians give them their sole purpose for existence.
