Most Christians do not support Catholic teachings when they see and understand the truth ‘as God wants’ them to understand and see His Truth. There is a choice unless one refuses to acknowledge the truth when presented to them.
To use word “Traditional” Catholic itself does speak volumes ....
For....”Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.......They worship me in vain....their teachings are merely human rules...You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions........ You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!”....Mark 7
As written in Matthew Henry’s Commentary....”One great design of Christ’s coming was, to set aside the ceremonial law;... and to make way for this, he ‘rejects’ the ‘ceremonies men added’ to the law of God’s making.”
BTW, I smiled at the 'ics' and 'isms'. There's joy is fleeing form an ism to become one of His 'ians'
Catholicism, the worship of men..
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
“Apparitions of any kind or any people are demonic.”
Indeed! Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!
Necromancy.
Seems Rome gets lots of check marks
Concerted efforts at influence and control lie at the core of cultic groups, programs, and relationships. Many members, former members, and supporters of cults are not fully aware of the extent to which members may have been manipulated, exploited, even abused. The following list of social-structural, social-psychological, and interpersonal behavioral patterns commonly found in cultic environments may be helpful in assessing a particular group or relationship.
Compare these patterns to the situation you were in (or in which you, a family member, or friend is currently involved). This list may help you determine if there is cause for concern. Bear in mind that this list is not meant to be a cult scale or a definitive checklist to determine if a specific group is a cult. This is not so much a diagnostic instrument as it is an analytical tool.
The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.
Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).
The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marryor leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).
The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avataror the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).
The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).
The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt iin order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.
Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.
The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
The group is preoccupied with making money.
Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.
Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.
The most loyal members (the true believers) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.
Wow. Says a lot, doesn’t it?
So what is your particular flavor of the Luther and Calvin’s Ice Cream Parlors?
Or do you like to sample a little of each?
Ummm I found Rome's flavor spoiled by the human hands combining its ingredients
Right now I am following the recipe found in the book written by the Holy Spirit
This is far more serious than the little flips you’re trying to toss in to distract from the truth before you.
I shall continue to stand with you because the catholic church is clearly a fertile mission field. So many are so completely deluded.
Amen .....
Acts 1:11 Douay-Rheims Bible
Ye men of Galilee, why stand you looking up to heaven? This Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come, as you have seen him going into heaven.
Indeed. The witnesses at Fatima saw an orb or disc in the sky brightly lit. There were upwards of 70,000 people in that field, and black and white photography. We have been led to believe an image of Mary appeared, but the witnesses describe an org of light or disc. Because they were told that Mary would appear, most thought that what they actually saw was Mary when what they described is very similar to UFO sightings of our times. A recent Pope claims to have seen a similar disc over the Vatican. The Vatican is planning to welcome alien superiors. One of their lead astronomers who works for the Pope has said “Jesus might be the son of a starchild’. (Br Guy Consolmagno) The Vatican is preparing the playbill for welcoming those they have been watching with their binocular telescope atopn Mount Graham in AZ. Using the L.U.C.I.F.E.R. camera which photographs in IR the Vatican’s Jesuit astronomers are tracking something coming toward the Earth, and complain of the UFOs that get in the way of their viewing too often.
Thanks for reminding me!
Got to turn on Art Bell "Somewhere in Time."
Have you listened to Art’s interview with Father Martin from the late nineties?
Major Ed Dames, I can live without.
However, remote viewing is a real phenomenon and was tested and run as experiment in Stanford Research Center. The methodology worked so well it went to black projects. And how else do you think the ancient Egyptians ‘saw’ helicopters and submarines and jet planes, to make imagery copies at Obidos if not remote viewing of the future?
