'Ridiculous' call: Gay advocate wants Christian chaplains out of US armed forces
Christian Today ^ | 7/8/15 | Andre Mitchell

Christian chaplains opposing same-sex relationships are being asked by a homosexual advocate to be removed from the United States Armed Forces.

In a strongly worded opinion piece published on the Daily Kos website following the Supreme Court decision allowing same-sex marriage throughout the country, Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) even described chaplains who practise their Christian faith and object to homosexuality as "losers."

However, Brig. Gen. Doug Lee, chairman of the executive committee for the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, said that Weinstein's remarks "are hardly worth responding to."

"I don't think he understands that the job of chaplain exists in a pluralistic military so that people have religious support, and to do away with a certain group of chaplains in its entirety is just ridiculous," Lee said.

In his editorial piece, Weinstein said "the only honourable thing that these losers can do is to fold up their uniforms, turn in their papers, and get the [expletive] out of the American military chaplaincy."

"If they are unwilling or too cowardly to do so, then the Department of Defense must expeditiously cleanse itself of the intolerant filth that insists on lingering in the ranks of our armed forces," he added.

Weinstein also implied that Christian chaplains who oppose same-sex marriage are promoting "Christian fundamentalism."

"Imagine the grinding teeth and anguished moans emanating from the benighted quarters of Christian fundamentalism within the US military! What will become of their once-ironclad dominance of fundamentalist Christian privilege within the Department of Defense?" the gay advocate said.

He also accused Christian military chaplains of bigotry and prejudice against homosexuals.

"What truly troubles these cretinous sentinels of vile prejudice and hate-mongering bigotry is the fact that this ruling will go down historically as the watershed moment which may indeed shatter the spine of the Religious Right in the US military, whose prior vise-like grip over the chaplaincy has formed the key obstacle to social progress within the Armed Forces," Weinstein said.

The Continental-Confederation Congress, a legislative body that governed the United States from 1774 to 1789:

Congress appointed chaplains for itself and the armed forces, sponsored the publication of a Bible, imposed Christian morality on the armed forces, and granted public lands to promote Christianity among the Indians.

And we have been told over and over again that same sex “marriage” won’t affect anyone else and that if we don’t like it, we don’t have to same sex marry. Every bit of that is disingenuous lying by bald faced lying Saul Alinsky Marxists.

“Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF)”

The First Amendment contains a free exercise clause as well as a no establishment clause. Soldiers have rights to practice their religion, notwithstanding the hatred of Christianity by Weinstein and his fellow left-wing fascists. And I don’t care if that breaches Godwin’s law, but these homosexualist totalitarians running our country now are fascists.

The utter hatred and demonization of Christian believers dripping from Weinstein’s lips is despicable. The left needs to be called on this kind of foul rhetoric, not just politely ignored.

And once again, someone without a cogent argument resorting to namecalling. That's all they've got: homophobe, loser, etc.

That’s the trouble right there - the US taxpayer spent good money to send this guy to the Air Force Academy. He’s been a PITA ever since he walked through the gates.

Sounds like the plan continues to destroy religion in this country and turn the military into what Hitler had. An army with no moral compass and no guilt whatsoever exterminating the masses they target.

It isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Recall that when gay marriage was first proposed in then ‘60’s everybody said it was crazy too.

Maybe Donald Trump will do it, he doesn’t seem to care about offending the PC crowd, which is way more than you can say for many other candidates.

As the scope of this sickness spreads. It has become apparent that there are a very many in this country that need to be lead quietly out in to the woods and not brought back.
