Bill,
Do you realize you are bearing false witness on FR by promulgating false quotes ? They are fake quotes. They discredit your witness, and that of the faith community which employs you. Jim already pulled your previous thread.
“We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God.
A man promoting, not Christianity, but paganism - a false religion.
If I were Catholic, it would shake me to examine my core beliefs.
Amen.
Please show why they are fake quotes.
Bill,
It *appears* the quotes are made up by a fake news site and perhaps you should ask for this thread to be pulled.
Did the bones of Elisha raise a person from the dead? Did the handkerchiefs touched to St. Paul cure the sick?
You may well doubt a miracle has occurred in fact. But the person that cannot accept these sorts of miracles can occur in principle has already surrendered his intellect to rationalism.

Are they really fake quotes? I am willing to retract them if so. I thought that the title of my previous thread was too provocative, believe me I don’t want ti be banned from this valuable site-
Please cite the quote that is false
It should have been obvious the quotes were fake.
Anyway, even if he had said it, it would be absolutely null and utterly void. It’s a well-known principle in Catholicism that the minute a Pope teaches heresy, he ceases to be Pope.
Stories like this (even if true) would not shake *this* Catholic to the core because if it ever happened, I would be leading the charge for the Pope to be deposed as a heretic.
Yes, you've been pawned and need to redeem yourself. The root cause is a hatred for Catholics, and thus a vulnerability to believe the worst nonsense you may come across. Resist that temptation and do penance.
The word is pwned.
If you’re going to claim the Pope said these things, the onus is on you to post a link to where he actually said them.
Are ye so without understanding also ?
Actually amend what I said earlier...it’s not a “well known principle”, it is a theological opinion that some hold, though others vigorously dispute.
Is that a citation of Mark 7:18 or an indictment against me ?
Well, there's a nonsense argument if ever I saw one.
If the quotes are inaccurate, post the accurate ones.
