And, one other nugget: According to the pope's spokesman, this priest being an active homosexual, that was not what got him fired from his numerous posts.

I’m sorry to hear that. He should have been fired for the relationship.

No question. Real moral reason instead of arbitrary procedural one.

They have no spines to do things forthe right reasons.

I think these are examples of lukewarmness God cannot stand.

Is EVERYONE afraid of the homosexual mafia?

Good grief - what on earth is unusual about any Christian saying they believe what God says about homosexuality in the Bible? They’d be contradicting God if they didn’t!

The RCC isn’t a church anymore.

Fired from that job but still a priest. SOP is to move him out of the limelight and give him a job some place safe ... like a catholic school!

Found this online.

A great deal of recent attention has focused on homosexual men in the priesthood. During the fall of 2005 much media attention centered on the release of Pope Benedict XVI’s “instruction” (Congregation for Catholic Education, 2005) stating that homosexual men should not be allowed to enter seminary or be ordained as Roman Catholic priests. The instruction made clear that active homosexuals, those who experience “deep-seated homosexual tendencies,” and those who support “gay culture” cannot be priests (p. 3). The instruction does not apply to priests already ordained. While there are no official estimates of the number of homosexual men in the priesthood, best current estimates range from 10% to 60% (Cozzens, 2000) with most experts and authorities who have access to this information more closely estimating between 25% and 40% (Plante, 2004, 2005; Sipe, 2004). Regardless of the most accurate figures, it is clear that there is a higher proportion of homosexual priests than homosexual men in the general population (Sipe, 2004) and that a substantial number of the 46,000 priests in the United States are indeed homosexual (Cozzens, 2000)

The Catholic Church could have stopped abortion from being legal in the USA.

The Catholic Church could have prevented God`s Word and prayer from being removed from the Classroom/Public square etc...

The Catholic Church could have prevented gay marriage from becoming legal in the USA

The list is long of the evils that the Catholic Church could have prevented, if only the Pope of the day had told Catholics that it is unacceptable to God/Christ to vote for abortion and the removal of God/Christ from the classroom public square etc

All they had to say was this...You wont go to heaven if you support any of these evils in the voting booth. The Pope would not have had to say vote Republican, but only forbid Catholics from voting for pro choice anti Christian politicians, to do so would be excommunication.

I could point to many New Testament Scriptures that speak of having nothing more to do with a person, certainly if the murder of Gods unborn children does not rise to that level then nothing does.

Titus 3:10

Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them.

If you can support the murder of God`s unborn Children, and/or the removal of God/Christ from the classroom/Public square and/or teach children that homosexuality is a option for them

if you can support all these and still be a member of the Church or any Christian Church, then that would mean that anything goes and that repentance was no longer necessary

Disagree. Francis is but a middle man, as is Obola. The cause is much deeper and more malevolent.
