In new faith film Miracles from Heaven, which is based on a true story, actress Jennifer Garner plays Christy Beam, the mother of a young girl Annabel (Kylie Rogers) who is diagnosed with an incurable and painful disease.
Because of the illness, pressure on the young family was high as Annabel had to undergo numerous hospital appointments and procedures.
However, one day Annabel was involved in a freak accident and fell from a tree and hit her head. When she came to, doctors discovered she'd somehow been cured.
"I mean there's reason there's a movie and a book about it," explained Garner in an interview. "It's not a small thing that happened, it's a really big thing that happened that this child would be cured of something that's incurable and free from pain that she had for so many years but yeah, I think maybe I had a moment of cynicism about the story but not when I met Christy and certainly not when I met Annabel. "
"This movie did bring faith back into the conversation of my life and did make me realize that my kids weren't just going to get this via osmosis because my parents had given this to me, that I actually had to be intentional and to participate in it. I think I'd been lazy about it so I got off my duff and we had a conversation and found a church we loved where we've been totally embraced and really happy," she said.
Miracles from Heaven goes on release in North America on March 14.

Maybe she can convince others to return to church...now, we can wonder about what kind of church...

I understand they are going around promoting their movie. So I don’t blame them when they say silly things. I guess I lay some blame on the reporters who do no homework and have no idea what the movie is about.
In the end, I love movies. But I find I care less and less about the “real actors.”
I saw the movie last Friday night. It is a gripping movie excellent at all levels. I highly recommend it.
A few years ago, I got hooked on nose spray to keep my
nose opened. I would have to use it several times a day.
Couldn’t get off the stuff. Not being able to breathe is
a very strong hook. - Well, I prayed & asked the Lord to
please unstop my stopped up nose. - A few nights later, I
was in the kitchen. Suddenly, my nose started dripping
little spurts of blood. That went on for an hour at home;
getting heavier & heavier. I finally gave up and told Fang
he was going to have to take me to the ER. Well, he did.
I spent at least another hour at the ER with nose gushing
blood, clots & goop. - Long story short, my nose finally
quit bleeding & has never been stopped up for any length of
time since.

Hold it. Although true. Reece Witherspoon attends church. Mark and Kelly consuelos attend mass. Heck mark walberg attends mass daily. So many bad people in Hollywood there are many decent ones too.
Standing in a garage doesn't make one a car.
Likewise, going to church doesn't make one a Christian.
Being good and going to church might be nice, but without the ultimate commitment, are absolutely useless.
Hopefully for Garner, she has more desire than just being a good person who goes to church.
