Good Catholics need to do much more than ignore this heretic. They need to openly resist him to his to his face, as did St. Paul to St.Peter. And as St. Athanasius did to Pope Liberius. Certainly those who have the opportunity to do so should resist his errors to his face. He is now in open schism with all previous popes.
It will be interesting to see if any members of the hierarchy finally find the courage to publicly condemn Francis' proclamations.

God save the Church from false prophets. And vain, manipulative liberal fools.

Taken together, we see that the pope is claiming that
remarried couples who have children should continue to live as husband and wife and should not live as brother and sister and that all irregular relationships which are not in accordance with Gods laws do not, in his estimation, necessarily mean that persons in such situations are living in a state of sin. Thereby, the pope also indirectly opens the door to the admittance of all these persons to the sacraments, and, at the same time, undermines not just one, but three sacraments: the Sacrament of Marriage, the Sacrament of Penance, and the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. I think that you totally misinterpret that entire scenario. He changed NOTHING and opened no doors to remarried divorced Catholics to receive the sacraments thereby endangering no rules pertaining to their reception. He undermined NOTHING and I thought, left no room for doubt that he couldn't even if he wanted to which he didn't.

If it were vacant, there wouldn't be a blathering Modernist fool sitting on it. It can also mean that the person in that office is not a legitimate heir to the position. I am surprised by your opinion.....very surprised.

Why do we need to "interpet" hereritics and convince ourselves they are still Catholic?
Hence it can no longer simply be said that all those in any irregular situation are living in a state of mortal sin and are deprived of sanctifying grace. Papa Tango, The Joy of Sex (proper tranlation is the Joy of Sodomy)

Pope Liberius was not a heretic.

Past “anti-popes” were all Catholic. This anti-pope is not.

It will be interesting to see if any members of the hierarchy finally find the courage to publicly condemn Francis' proclamations. I wouldn't bet on it.

Doesn’t matter. All that matters is he is not Catholic.

I don’t think we can equate resisting Francis with St Paul’s and St Athanasius’ resistance to Peter or Liberius.
Apples and oranges.

Always. I’m a severely lapsed Anglican. I’ll pay attention to big picture issues, but skip the minutiae with all the consistency that I began skipping church when I was a teenager.
To: ameribbean expat
You seem to proud of that fact Do you know the difference between a severly lapsed Anglican and a devout muslim? None.
