'Its a synagogue, church, and mosque all in one' [2 Thess 2]

An interfaith group is laying the groundwork for what will likely be the world’s first ever joint house of prayer. The center of worship, which will be called the "House of One," will combine simultaneous Jewish, Muslim, and Christian prayer services. The House of One is planned to be built on the site of Berlin’s first church, the Petrikirche. One of the organizers of the interfaith group behind the planned church/mosque/synagogue, Rabbi Tovia Ben Chorin, said that the House of One is a reminder that despite the dark history of Berlin in the 20th century it is now a center of tolerance.

"For me as a Jew, this city is the 'city of wounds' and the 'city of miracles.' In this place our systematic extermination was planned. And it is from this city that an answer has emerged," said Ben Chorin. He also suggested that Berlin could become a model for cultural integration and religious tolerance. "[I]t is a multicultural city, the idea will spread to different countries all over the world." Construction of the building is slated to begin next year...

What could possibly be wrong with an interfaith joint House of Prayer? Isn't this precisely what Pope Francis is advocating? Yes! Muslims, Jews, and Christians praying and worshiping together in the "House of One" for world peace and unity. So what could possible be wrong with it? Answer: Truth! For truth reveals that the singular god of Islam, who proclaims death to those who believe god has a Son, is not the God of the Bible. Rabbinic Judaism rejects that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Jewish Messiah and second person of the Godhead. Christians must deny that Jesus Christ is God in the Flesh, second person of the Truine God.

For this interfaith "House of One" to work, Christians and Jews would have to suspend all critical faculties and and go along with a book of Arab fables that even Muslims admit was inspired by Satan (Read Salmon Rushdie's "Satanic Verses"). Christians and Jews would have to admit that Mohammed was a prophet of God, and that all gods are the same, and that God has no Son. It appears as though the western world has been cursed by God himself for our sins and unbelief. When the truth of Jesus Christ came to Europe over 1900 years ago, it brought truth liberty, freedom, emancipation, and sanity. Civilization sprung up as men cast away their idols for truth and righteousness. What happens when nations grow past the God of truth, love, freedom, and emancipation? Delusion...Islam...hell! But to those who believe in Truth, Sanity, and Christ Jesus, lift up your head for your redemption draws nigh...

2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

It will never work. All three religions are too territorial. They will want to claim the physical prayer site as their own.

2 Thessalonians

Is that pronounced 2 Thessalonians, or Second Thessalonians?

This is stupid. It wants us to think it’s about tolerance. No. It’s saying that these three religions are equivalent - one is as good as another.

Which they are not. One of them is a violent political movement cleverly disguised as a religion.

And it’s not just the Pope that is on board with this.

Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Andy Stanley, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis and all of the boycott Israel movement churches are on board with this crazy theological thinking as well.

I've always heard it pronounced Second Thessalonians.

Heck, even the various Christian sects can't get along with each other. Witness the insanely jealous guarding of every single square inch of the jointly-shared Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. I see no way that a joint Christian/Jewish/Muslim worship center can be successfully operated, unless the adherents of one of the three faiths (hmmm, wonder which one it would be?) just takes control.

I think Pope John Paul II preceded this "interfaith house of prayer" with his 1986 publicity stunt at Assisi.

It couldn’t be Catholic. A Catholic Church is dedicated for the Catholic community’s use only.

The picture is misleading to me.

Didn’t the article say “Christian” Church?
