It would be nice if Pope Frank would ever question his firm faith in Marxist Socialism.

He's probably not born again,

and he heads up an outfit that has no idea what it means.

My wife and I will be chaperoning some SoCal youth to World Youth Day in Poland next month. I am wondering what surprises our Holy Father will have in store for us. Trusting in Jesus!

This pope only knows how to speak gobbledy-gook.

Truth can usually be stated clearly; this pope never speaks clearly. He talks round and round in circles to avoid saying anything clear you can get your hands on.

Re: “Pope says ‘martyrdom, not ‘genocide,’ is the best word)”

I think that what is occurring to Believers in the Middle East is both martyrdom and genocide.

Actually, I'm surprised and a bit encouraged by the Popes comments.

What he actually said was that he did not like the term genocide because Christians were being killed not for their ethnicity but for their faith in God.

As such, the appropriate term should be martyr in witness to Christ, not the generic, secular term genocide which did not accurately describe and which diminished their sacrifice

That’s because the Pope’s “faith” is Marxism/Leninism. Time and again, stark reality shows his faith to be illusory, the cause of genocide and general misery the world over.

He's probably not born again

I don't believe he is. You can generally tell the difference between someone who knows God and someone who does not.

If he was a born again Christian, he would know that he knows that he knows.

Instead, he wonders as he wanders around wearing dresses and breathing incense, mumbling in a dead language and celebrating graven images of gold. He has his reward, in religious rituals instead of eternal relationship.

His critics are just mean. This pope is just trying to fill Heaven with martyrs! What could be more Christian?

Of course, a Marxist can’t grasp that the way to fill Heaven is EVANGELISM. Marxist don’t care about the means, just the ends. So in his twisted mind genocide is just as good as saving the lost.

I could be wrong and often am but I am open to alternative theories that explain the observations.

He is human. That is a human failing. He is ‘fessing up to it, whereas most remain silent about it.

Catholic Christians, just as born again, I assume, feel that because of God’s love and mercy and the grace of the Holy Spirit, that we are “born again” with every action of faith that is directed toward God. I’m sorry for you that you don’t feel we are all together in this fight for Religious Freedom and Christian beliefs. But, God bless and have a nice day.

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Using the word “genocide” to describe the persecution of Christians in the Middle East risks downplaying the courage and witness of those who boldly profess faith in Jesus Christ even in the face of death, Pope Francis said.
“I want to say clearly that I do not like it when people speak of a ‘genocide of Christians,’ for example in the Middle East,” the pope said, responding to questions June 18. Calling the persecution “genocide,” he said, is using a juridical and sociological category to speak of “something which is a mystery of the faith: martyrdom.”
Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, Vatican spokesman, said Pope Francis “was not speaking about the use of the term ‘genocide’ on a political level, but on a level of faith. When applied to the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, the dimension of faith is essential,” particularly when victims are murdered for not renouncing faith in Christ.

God Bless You on your journey to Poland. Our youth minister went a number of years back, during a crisis of faith, and it changed his life forever. He is bringing a group of young adults on the trip this year.
