“Fr. Mark Mary Cristina”

I’m guessing with a name like that he probably got beat up alot in school.
Nuns are necessary to complete the Church and are seriously lacking in America’s Catholic Churches.
Catholic schools are also far better with Nuns as teachers and administrators rather than lay men and women.
It has been a mistake for the Church to use her time, energy, and money to thwart US immigration law when the focus should have been on repopulating the Church and schools with Nuns.
I think Johnny Cash had a song about that.
Such dancing could be habit forming.

Heh.
Fr. Mud Guts And Beer.
LOL!
Is it common for Catholics to build a shrine to a man? I haven’t seen anything like that before. I’m a big fan of JPII, but it seems a bit odd to me.
All this honor of saints is to the greater glory of God.
I don’t go with the reasoning - but since I’m not Catholic, it’s neither here if I go along with it or not. :)
From what I understand this is actually more of a “favorite son” honor by the Poles. And they got good reason to be proud.
I would’ve gone with just a statue.
I just wanted to add that there's a dozen Protestant churches within a 5 mile radius of my house with names like "Munsey Memorial Methodist Church," "Burbank Freewill Baptist," "Asbury Evangelistic Associates," "Nelson Chapel," "Magill Memorial Presbyterian Church," etc. They can be compared to shrines established in honor of the Virgin Mother Mary, the Archangel Gabriel, or St. Pope John Paul II. These Protestant were not built to worship Munsey, Burbank, Asbury, Nelson, and Magill. They were built at their behest and/or named in their honor, to worship God and for the glory of God.
I think most everybody understands this. If not, I wouldn't know where to begin.
There are two young adult pilgrims from my parish who are making the WYD pilgrimage to Poland leaving Friday.
Yes, indeed.
WELL put.
