The Throne Room...Rev 4-7 pt 4

And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.(Revelation 4:2-5)

After hearing the heavenly voice commanding him to “Come up here”, the apostle John has been translated from “the things that are…” , through the “door opened into heaven“, into the very throne room of God.

* A Throne was set…The first thing John sees in heaven is a Throne. It is God who rules, not Caesar or Pharoah, Bush or Putin. The heavenly court is a throne room, the living God is an absolute Sovereign.

The churches, besieged and harassed by their enemies, and seemingly powerless and vulnerable in this world, can take comfort knowing that at the ultimate center of reality is a Throne, fixed in heaven.

…I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?(Daniel 4:34-35)

* A figure sitting on the Throne who is indescribable! “He that sat on the throne to look upon was like Jasper and like Sardine stone”.

What did he look like? Jasper is a blood-red stone, Sardine is like a diamond, a clear stone. What kind of description is that? This person, seated on the throne is indescribable!

The blood-red Sardius Stone was the first in the series of stones on the Priest’s breastplate, representing the firstborn, Reuben and does indeed speak of blood sacrifice. The last stone, the clear Jasper, represents Benjamin, and stands for victory.

The name Reuben means “Behold a Son”, and the name Benjamin translates, “The Son of my Right Hand”. The colors point to Jesus in his first and second comings.

* The Rainbow around the Throne. God’s throne is surrounded by a complete Rainbow. The obvious connection is the covenant sign of mercy after the flood. Green is the color that stands for renewed life.

There are many terrifying, awesome, Holy and destructive Judgments rightly coming to the inhabitants of the earth, but we can be assured that the One who sits upon the throne, sees everything through the prism of His mercy.

* Twenty Four Elders- Remember the stained and weak churches, seemingly helpless on this earth, with no recourse when her enemies lied about her, stole from and persecuted her? The ‘despised and rejected’ weak and powerless Ones, witnesses to truth in a hostile world?

That is just one way to look at the church, but here is the heavenly perspective of the same people. They are immaculately dressed, there is no stain, they have access, not to Caesar, but the magnificent throne set in heaven! This is the heavenly view of God’s people.

These are King/Priests, dignified, and powerful in their access to heaven. They too sit on thrones and when their prayers are later gathered up into a censor in heaven, powerful things happen on earth!

Twelve is the number that represents the people of God, 12 Sons of Israel, 12 Apostles of Jesus. Two is the number for witness, “By the mouth of two or three witnesses…”. Twenty four, 12×2, is the number for the whole people of God.

All of them will be there, God himself will see to that. They will gladly worship Jesus, casting their crowns of reward before Him, acknowledging His love, and the price He paid to make them fit for this place.

There they stand, immaculate, crowned with glory and Honor, and in a place of privilege. They all know well, that they deserve none of the pleasures they have been given.

They were once idolaters, sinners, they hated God himself and in many cases persecuted the followers of the lamb. Some of them were drowning in their own swamp of lust, sin, failure and strife, until the Saviour reached out a hand to rescue them.

They fall down in utter worship, and amazed adoration, praising and singing of him who bought them and gave them the victory.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2

I like to ponder the angel’s message of “great joy” “to “all people....” That is profound when you consider that Jesus Christ, born a Savior, is good news of great joy to ALL people. I take that to mean ALL people born into this Earth along with Jesus.

The Greek word for salvation actually meant “re-united” or “re-connection”like as “one,” so Savior must mean “one who reunites people back to God.” This of course would mean that all people were at one time united or “one” with the Divine One, but got separated somehow. Jesus the Christ means the “Anointed One,” anointed to bring us all back as sons (offspring) of God?

I can speak from my understanding in scripture, but mostly from my experience in my life.

I think your perspective is clear and the path is straight. It is Jesus whose words created this creation to make God the Father proud. We are always learning.
What I see is all things are a conversation between Jesus and God. Jesus said, I only do what I have seen my Father do.
In that conversation and depicted in scripture many times we see Christ having two distinct viewpoints, show us the father, response, don’t you know me? then on the other hand when he was called good master and he immediately declared only God is good, and constantly prayed to God. So if all things are one in the spirit of God made whole in Christ as the original body which all exist within, then we after accepting Christ as savior are made one in him as was his prayer on the cross.

So we see verses like, you cannot hate your brother and love God..why, our brother is often wretched, no morality, those who persecute us, it is because really nothing exist but God and Jesus, they are the only source of life that i contained within themselves. So if mankind could strengthen their faith to believe in a supernatural all powerful God who is present in our lives now and see him in all, we would begin to heal ourselves by walking within God’s law and accepting Christ as the sacrifice for all sins. Think about it, Jesus creator lays down his life as atonement for all the lost who seek love, light, and God.

Let me tell you about an experience I had, I am sure this will not be easily swallowed and I very rarely speak of this experience, but I feel your inquiry warrants it.. it is not often folks are interested in supernatural reality, and for the most part our Lord would tell people you don’t understand the earthly things I say much less the heavenly.

so being willing to sacrifice my pathetic pride, here we go..

I was praying one day and I began to hear a conversation that not only was inside me but also spoken in the wind and as best I can describe was in all things..(like Christ said, the stones would sing)they do..
In the midst of all that was happening I was grippng to what reality thought I had..(no drugs involved)
as the voices became clearer I heard, I am God, you are Jesus and it’s the end of time, prepare the way, make his path straight..
I immediately knowing how much of a sinner and fool I am responded Lord I cannot be him, I am a fool. Then I heard Jesus, he said, this is your first experience in my reality, you are being introduced to God from the inside and out..because you recognized yourself in the midst of the conversation , displayed humility, faith and steered the conversation with prayer, tell the others abut the only path to love and Heaven, by accepting Christ as Savior, and learning to walk upright by the throne, not crawling in our earthly binds as children still soiling themselves, but learning to trust his supernatural path which makes all mans creations dead and fulfills the soul in the returning reality of Eden...alpha omega..back to the beginning with the lesson learned to follow God.

so in the end God lives in all, and is accessible through Christ, having made all who proclaim him as Savior one again, except now with a twist, we are children now, no longer just workers in the garden..not to say we wont have things to do.....smile...

it is difficult to describe the coming higher pasture, and the spiritual tools needed to walk properly therein, but those who are sincere and seek, begin to hear the voice inside, link the inside voice with the outer body experience and see God speaking to us constantly..
