I suspect most of the world accepts Rome’s version. even judaism ‘in spirit’- because they don’t have the Son.

You suspect wrong then because God NEVER laid that requirement on believers. That is your opinion only and a baseless one at that, that leads to holier-than-thouness and all the spiritual pride your posts ooze of.

And this calendar thing is all you ever focus on on FR. It's like your mission in life is to convince everyone that you are right and they are all wrong and convert them to follow some made up calendar of yours and put people back under the bondage of the law, following days and months and seasons and years.

Perhaps you could point us to verses that show us that Jesus required us to obey your version of the calendar to be saved or that doing so proves that someone is a "TRUE" follower of the "TRUE" Jesus.

It’s about Jesus, not David.

David is key. The Messiah is the son of David, the David whom David himself wanted to be.

David was a man after God’s own heart.

Because when David erred, he owned up. His heart was perfect.

His actions were far from perfect and he never perfectly obeyed God’s commands either.

God's definition of perfect is not man's. Right there in the narrative of David's anointing (1 Sam 16, which follows ch. 15 re Saul with his definition of obeying):

6. And it came to pass, when they came, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord's anointed is before him:
7. But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him; for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart:

The Scripture is filled with people and goings-on that look downright sinful and lawless on the outside, e.g. Mary, Joseph, and Jesus' sketchy conception. "Everybody knows" that the proper order is

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage.

John 8

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

He came with the character (heart) of his father David: merciful, loving, compassionate, and with a complete (perfect) love of God and His Law. The common people recognized his father David in him*, whereas the pedantic experts did not. Hence they were utterly confounded by basic questions such as, "If David called him [the Messiah] master, how then is he his son?"

* As evidenced by their pleas for healing: "Son of David, have mercy on us..."

Even if someone could from this point forward obey God’s Law perfectly in the smallest detail with absolute heart perfection, it still wouldn’t save anyone because everyone has sinned at least once in their lives and that one sin, even if they had an otherwise perfect record, would be enough to condemn them.

Who then can be saved? With man this is impossible, because man's definition of perfect is impossible. God, OTOH, shows how it is possible. He's got a different methodology. He sends His son to show how it is possible! Of course most people don't really believe that. They don't believe the son, because for whatever reason they prefer doctrines of men that define perfect in such a way, that NOONE can get through by believing the son and following his commands (love one another). The doctrines are so twisted, that the son had to be deified so he could be perfect, because "only God" is perfect (perfect by man's definition). Egads. This generation is that generation, the one I quoted above.

Case in point: the scribes were agitated in their spirit when Jesus was forgiving sins. In the [closed, rigid] minds of the people who scrupulously copied the law for a living, letter by letter, only God could forgive sins. This yahoo was making himself out as God, based on their settled doctrines. Ergo, this Jesus fellow going around forgiving sins? Obviously a blasphemer. Yet the Son of Man (idiom for human being) indeed has the power to forgive sins. He tried to explain it right here, but as is still to this day, ears are slammed shut and eyes are closed, lest they hear with their ears and see with their eyes and understand with their heart and be converted and be healed:

Matthew 9

1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

Multitudes: unwashed, uneducated masses

What did they see? A guy who demonstrated that if he could heal a man of a physical infirmity right there on the spot, in plain view just as he said he would do, then he most certainly could to do that which is unseen (something with no direct outward proof and is thus easy to lie about) - forgive sins.

Doing what was harder to say (because a liar would be caught in an immediate lie) - "Arise and Walk" was the evidence that he could do that which was was easier to say (because there would be no outward proof of a lie): "Your sins are forgiven."

Truly, dead doctrines of demons are killing people, because they are prevented from being healed.

David is KEY, because when Jesus said that the Psalms spoke of him, he didn't just mean messianic prophecies.

I certainly am not putting anyone under law by mentioning the 10 Commandments with the parable of the sower, am I?

unless you can show me a more accurate description than He showed me in His Word, I will choose to understand what He taught me.

I asked, sought and knocked- and He led me to see how the Commandments fit there. are there levels of spiritual truth with that? yes.
but on the natural level, the 10 Commandments played a role in 2 of those numbers. some could say, all three..

You posted an article about obeying God’s Commands remember- not me..

You again are confusing me with the saved/unsaved crowd.

None of what I am saying is dealing with being saved. It has to do with being sanctified in His Truth. His Word is Truth.

Sola scriptura.. is that in your vocab because it is/was used quite a bit when the daughters are/were trying to debate their mother.

People can certainly have their faith misplaced in Rome’s teachings, correct?
What is Rome’s calendar, but a teaching- a seemingly biblically based calendar that can be shown to be a fake with one bible versa- uno sola scriptura so to speak...

When sola scriptura can show the world follows an antichrist calendar today, and not some future time, why is that offensive to you?
or deemed as being a salvation issue as I don’t make it a salvation issue. maybe your doctrines and teachings would jump you to that conclusion but I haven’t...

My original point, in an article you posted about ‘OBEYING GOD’s COMMANDS< was you are incapable of seeing the Commandments in His Parable because the world is incapable.
That isn’t a condemnation of eternal damnation. only you made it a salvation issue. it is because the world tells time on Rome’s calendar- not the biblical calendar-

up to 4 yeats ago, I didn’t know this either- and He showed me how the world of Rome is false- right down to their calendar they use.. and He used His Word and Creation to show me..

That isn’t holier than thou.. that is greatly blessed and humbled..
and willing to sit here and type to people who don’t see how the enemy deceives the whole world, even and maybe especially the religious world..

that doesn’t mean you have to see it.

I accept the premise the 1st reformers had about Rome, the papacy, and the pope as ‘antichrist’

I wasn’t comfortable using antichrist’s calendar in light of Daniel 7 and Revelation.

Not because it was a salvation issue. but because I desired to be santified in His Truth- not falsehoods or counterfeits.

And He gets all the glory and praise. It’s humbling, not holier than thou..
Scripture is the guide I used to test Rome and its teachings.
and isn’t that what you all do ?
