I can understand part of that... but stoning your own daughter to death... how is that any better than what the muzzie do??? its the same as far as I can see. They use the same justifications...
Jesus put an end to that type of thinking with His New Covenant.
As far as the question as to how a man could have his daughter killed I don’t have the slightest idea. Apparently the fact that a daughter was promiscous would destroy a family.
But, that was THEN, this is now. This is the most important point.
It is likely that Mohammed preserved many cultural norms which were very ancient, perhaps from thousands of years before Christ which were much more severe than even early medieval times.
There is one thing that bothers me about this article. As it is summing up negative things about Islam, it says “Islam is racist” without any statements to back it up. I think they are calling the fact that Islam encourages violence against non Muslims as racist, which is bending that definition too far.
What I liked in this article was that they carefully explained by Islam is pro-violence even while admitting most Muslims wish to live a quiet, peaceful life. Also I appreciate reading that many modern Muslims would like to do away with genital mutilation.
After the tradition of priestly Aaron yes perhaps....but after the tradition of priestly Melchizedek of which Jesus was chief...no! All of us deserve death as we all transgressed the law, just like the promiscuous woman you mention from Deuteronomy or the harlot that those in Jesus time wanted to stone.... yet for each of our accusers, be they men or Devils, Jesus stoops down and writes into the dust then replies....”Those without sin may cast the first stone”...then silence as our accusers skulk away...then a touch...”Where are your accusers(for the law says there must be 2 or 3)? And behold...there is no one there but you and God....! What else can one say but,” Lord I don’t see any to accuse me”....
Then a laughing admonishment...”Neither will I accuse you, your sins are forgiven,,,go and sin no more!
Hence we find the ultimate built in paradox of God’s law...it describes the sin and prescribes it punishments but no man is perfect enough to carry out it’s judgments for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus is the only one righteous enough to carry out the judgments prescribed in the lawt...for he is the living fulfillment of God’s Word in the flesh....
But what does he do....he reigns as judge before our hearts but there is no one worthy to condemn us(other than our own guilt), for our potential accusers themselves have sins enough to hang them as well! So he chooses instead to redeem us from the debt of sin under the law. Aaron condemns and pronounces dreadful sentence, but it is Melchizidek that seeks to redeem us from the penalty of sin...the man and God...Christ Jesus!
Vice-versa for WOMEN. No “antibiotics” for them to heal the
results of a promiscuous husband either.
That is right. Promiscuity could cost your life or the life of your spouse. Syphilis would be quite lethal. Add this to a population that ate far less protein than we do and you end up with a large quantity of orphans.
Again, we look at this situation from a high tech civilization. Israel would be, for many Americans, a SHTF scenario.
This is probably the most thorough and breath-taking description of Salvation that I have ever read. Many thanks for posting it.
Ephesians 5:25-33
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church 30 for we are members of his body.
31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.[c] 32 This is a profound mysterybut I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
When he’s describing it as racist, he means that it’s at war with the Jewish race - Abraham’s descendants. And it always will be.
Definitely. But “race” — which I believe is a bit of a joke as a concept when resting only to looks or skin color — apparently doesn’t officially matter to Islam, as far as I know.
