Vatican Advisor Urges Gay Priests to ‘Come Out,’ Won’t Say What His Own ‘Sexuality’ Is

August 29, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Jesuit Father James Martin, who campaigns for Church acceptance of active homosexuality, "said that he prefers not to make public his own sexuality" in a new interview.

Martin is well-known to faithful Catholics for endorsing transgender bathrooms and using his large social media presence to promote the LGBT cause. He is the author of a new pro-gay book that advocates the Catholic Church take a new "pastoral" route to dealing with the "LGBT community." He is also a consultor to the Vatican Secretariat for Communication.

Martin argues employees of Catholic institutions shouldn't be fired for entering same-sex "marriages." He wants the Church to ditch her language labeling homosexual desires and actions (not people) "intrinsically disordered."

A number of priests and bishops have indirectly and directly taken him to task over this.

In late October 2016, Martin accepted an award from New Ways Ministry, a radically pro-gay group condemned by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the U.S. Catholic bishops. His speech at this event was the foundation for this small 150-page book.

This person needs to read the Catechism.

Catechism of the Catholic Church

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

Prediction: this homosexual Jesuit will come out of the closet in the next 12 months, then leave the priesthood - of course blaming conservatives and “haters” in the Church for driving him out.

Its always the same for homosexuals

The words priest and sexuality don’t immediately come to mind joined together if you will.

Ho Hum. Another day, another Jesuit, and so another pervert feels the need to speak as if he were Christian, of more perversion.

Yawn.

Add to your true statement the tolerance for such pretending, by the USCCB.

Is a Christian to be found anywhere among these silent flock of peacocks? Not to a single man has there been more than a peep to make a move toward cleansing the Vatican temple of vipers.

An abomination met with silence...

What happened is that liberals within the Church had been steadily losing their iron grip but then got a Pope they like and so have been emboldened in their stance. They’ve also realized they need to consolidate power as the voices in favor of tradition have been steadily getting stronger.

The Enemy of the human race is sowing division, and people have forgotten God.

Yes ... get them all out of the closet ... then throw them out on their ears.

I wouldn’t want to be standing close to the anti-Pope when God has his retribution. He has turned the Vatican into a homosexual bathhouse. God will not continue to be mocked.

What exactly is a “gay” priest? How can there even be such a thing? Lady Gaga is WRONG, no one is “born this way”. Just “thinking” you are gay, doesn’t make you gay. Identifying yourself as gay, doesn’t make you gay.

What makes you gay is having repeated abnormal, perverted, unbiblical, sex with another male and liking it.

If this is you, you are in no way a “priest”. A FRAUD, yes.

A little story here.

Just how naive was I?

I had a next door neighbor, lots were 55 feet wide, who was an alcoholic. Jerry had tragedy in his life and blamed his drinking on that. The tragedy was real, his wife, the love of his life, had been killed in a car accident where Jerry had been the driver.

Deep down, he was a nice guy. I liked Jerry. Living so close to him and the goings on at his house were “challenging”.

Anyway, the house was owned by Jerry’s brother who was a Catholic Priest. Jerry thus had connections to the Catholic Church.

When Jerry was really broke, I mean couldn’t even buy beer, he would get all cleaned up and ask me to drive him to the local rectory, at night. I would drop him off, and he would get back home via cab (as he would be provided cab fare). He was always apprehensive and I could tell he didn’t enjoy doing this.

Naive me thought he went there begging for money (and would always get it), for them counseling him about his sin and praying with him etc.

An older and wiser me, at least a more cynical me, realizes that these trips were much more likely for sexual favors with the priest he was meeting with, late at night.

After the fire, didn’t I mention the fires? Jerry’s brother had them evicted and sold the house.

Jerry has since passed away, he drank himself to death. A sad tale to be sure, but what about the “priest” or “priests” who PREYED upon this poor, down on his luck, broken man. Do they deserve the title of “priest”?
