We stand with heads bowed in shame at the defiled state of our nation. You warned us to guard our hearts:
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. "All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man." (Mark 7:21-23)
Our nation reaps the whirlwind of its rejection of You and Your statutes:
* Hands are the hands of murderers, and fingers are filthy with sin.
* Lips are full of lies, and mouths spew corruption.
* No one cares about being fair and honest. Lawsuits are based on lies.
* People conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin. All their activity is filled with sin, and violence is their trademark. Misery and destruction always follow them.
* They don’t know where to find peace or what it means to be just and good. So there is no justice among us, and people know nothing about right living. (Isaiah 59)
Pour out Your SPIRIT upon America. Transform our hearts and minds. May it not be said as we sing "GOD bless America" and declare "In GOD we trust":
‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God. (Mark 7:6-7)
We lift up President Trump, Roy Moore, and all who are victims of slander and innuendo. We stand upon Your Promises on their behalf:
"No weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from Me. I, the Lord, have spoken! (Isaiah 54:17)
Keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. (1 Peter 3:16)
Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal faithfully are His delight. (Proverbs 12:22)
Convict the MSM, legislators, political pundits of the seriousness of their actions. For You say:
He who conceals hatred has lying lips, And he who spreads slander is a fool. (Proverbs 10:18) "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. (Matthew 12:36)
Forgive us for our great sins. Revive us. Restore and renew us. Come, heal our land.

Certainly a Spirit-led prayer for such a time as this. God will not be mocked. He is our Father and is to be obeyed.. . not some of the time or when we feel like it. . .but ALL of the time. May we all seek forgiveness and press on to the calling that we each have been given.
