I would suggest the professor should be far more concerned about the wrath of God than the reaction of the bishop.

He had no sexual desire

Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.

The Nazzarean said that the Torah must be obeyed till the end of time. (Matt. 5).

oh??

John 6:25-40

25 When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”

26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”

28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’[c]

32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

People like him with sexual issues tend to project them onto everyone else.

People think others think just like them.

You can tell a lot what a person is like by what they presume motivates others.

Amen! Jesus Christ is not some “saint.” He is the Savior!

not sure what your point is exactly or what your motivations are in this case. I believe you can tell a lot about individuals by their behavior. There is nothing in the Bible about Jesus Christ and ANY sexuality on His part with anyone else.

Jesus was a man in a human body who was tempted in every way as we are.

That doesn’t mean He sinned in it, but *saints* do not, not have a flesh and normal human desires.

Temptation is not sin.

Engaging in it or giving in to it, is.

I do not recall Jesus every being tempted. the devil tried to tempt Him power but failed. Jesus was not tempted to take his offering of power. I do not believe there was any temptation on his part even in his heart, which He considered a sin.

You are certainly free to believe that Jesus was not tempted but your argument is then with Scripture, and the Holy Spirit who breathed it out.

Luke 4:1-11 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” And Jesus answered him,It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’”

And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, and said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” And Jesus answered him, It is written,“‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.’”

And he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

And Jesus answered him, It is said, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.

Matthew 4:1-11 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus said to him,Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’”

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Now, my choice is to believe your opinion or the words of God in Scripture.

God tells us Jesus was tempted.

And He would had to have been, otherwise, He could not have succeeded where Adam failed.

You really need to be careful about stating things contrary to Scripture. It is, in effect, calling God a liar. Not in so many words, but when you tell others that the Bible is wrong, you are saying that God was wrong.

Not a wise place to be.

Nothing in your quote invalidates or can invalidate The Masters words from Matthew. Read Jeremiah 31to 33. The New Covenant is the Torah written on the heart. To believe on Yeshua is to follow him and walk as he walked, in all the beauty of the Torah: that’s His Torah.

Well; this is all quite vague.

Engaging in it or giving in to it, is.

And yet...

Matthew 5:28 English Standard Version

But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Read Jeremiah 31to 33.

Jeremiah 31:1, 33 New International Version (NIV)

“At that time,” declares the Lord, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”

33 33“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

That would be engaging in it or giving in to it.

The thought entering your mind could be from the enemy and you don’t have much control over that.

It’s what you do with it.

And it says *with lustful intent*. That means entertaining and engaging in the thought.
