To paraphrase- Make the abuse legal where it couldnt be eliminated. Francis has applied that philosophy across the board
EXCEPT, of course, Scripture says "TAKE this and eat" Take, not receive.

Instruction Concerning Worship Of The Eucharistic Mystery
(April 17, 1980)
18. There are, of course, various roles that women can perform in the liturgical assembly: these include reading the Word of God and proclaiming the intentions of the Prayer of the Faithful. Women are not, however, permitted to act as altar servers.
Yet, in 1992:
Subsequently, at an Audience granted on 11 July 1992 to the Most Reverend Vincenzo Fagiolo, Archbishop Emeritus of Chieti-Vasto and President of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts, Pope John Paul II confirmed the decision and ordered its promulgation. This will be done in the near future.
3) If in some diocese, on the basis of Canon 230 #2, the Bishop permits that, for particular reasons, women may also serve at the altar, this decision must be clearly explained to the faithful, in the light of the above-mentioned norm. It shall also be made clear that the norm is already being widely applied, by the fact that women frequently serve as lectors in the Liturgy and can also be called upon to distribute Holy Communion as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and to carry out other functions, according to the provisions of the same Canon 230 #3.
Our Lord is addressing priests at that point.
Exactly!
So only priests should receive the Eucharist?
We are all priests: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9
Try again.
bkmk
Are you a Catholic?
Do you consecrate the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ all by yourself?
Yes. BTW, I consider Francis a heretic. Can't understand why he hasn't answered the Dubia.
Do you consecrate the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ all by yourself?
Of course not. What is your point? Christ told us to TAKE this and eat. He never said 'Open your mouth and let me insert this'
My point is stop claiming we all priests when sacramentally most of us are not. If you can't consecrated the Holy Eucharist or give absolution after the confession of sins, drop the canard.
And what of the Chalice? Should the Priest spoon the blood of Christ into your mouth? Or do you “Take and Drink” as Scripture says?
How do you know? Were you at the Last Supper?
And Christ didn't "tell us", He told his Apostles, his first priests.
Just wow. Talk about getting off topic.
Christ said "Take this and eat" Try to focus on the words of Scripture here. Christ never said only consecrated priests should "Take"
I refuse to touch the chalice with my hands; I learned that long ago as an altar boy.
The rare times I receive the physical Blood of Christ is when Holy Communion is administered by intinction.
What part of Mat 26:26 don't you understand? Are you saying the Eucharist was only for the Apostles?
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
You took it off top in your post #8, claiming were all priests.
I have a feeling you may be an offended EEM, Extraordinary Eucharistic Monster.
Am I correct?
So you refuse to follow Christ's command to "Take this and drink"
Got it. You know better than Scripture.
Good point.
