Presuming this is true (and frankly, I have my doubts) Wuerl’s best move would be to turn state’s evidence and enter the witness protection program.
If his talking really presents THAT grave a threat to the Vatican, he’s a dead man walking. Simply too risky to have him breathing, and they have long-standing relationships with the Tony Soprano-types.
