I’ve heard some things like this myself but don’t want to be one to criticize. I don’t have the knowledge.
Thanks. I will read it.
Central Standard Time, 7:00 PM EWTN,
Paul VI, (2010), Pope Paul’s life, “from the rise of Italy’s Fascist regime to World War II and beyond.”
Fatima show at 11:00 pm.. so, maybe I will tune that in.
Wow, what a post! I haven’t linked to all of the externals yet, but this is possibly your best post ever, Rock on!
Thanks.
What about St. Thomas - (Quod 9, q. 16, contra 1) In the church there is not able to be a damnable error. But it would be a damnable error if she would venerate a saint who was a sinner, because anyone knowing their sin, might believe the church to be false; and if this were to happen, they might be led into error. Therefore the church is not able to err in such things.”
So can I object to any Saint declared by Holy Mother Church that I want because of any reason I can come up with?
How dare he?
The infallible teachings of the Church are always and everywhere
regarding faith and morals.
The Popes, like it or not rad trads, have plenary power over the liturgy.
Pope saints must exhibit heroic virtue, virtue as set forth by the Scriptures and the teaching Magisterium, not as defined by Joe Catholic.
The process of determination of such has changed over history, but the decision by a Pope that such is the case determines that fact. The position that the Popes’ declaration of one as Blessed or Saint is infallible, is a very old position.
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THIS MASTER OF BABBLE.
LISTEN TO REAL TRADITION AND ORTHODOXY ON FAITH AND MORALS.
Pope saints must exhibit heroic virtue, virtue as set forth by the Scriptures and the teaching Magisterium, not as defined by Joe Catholic.
Well that sure leaves Paul VI out. He was horrible pope. Absolutely terrible.
Are you Pope or Joe Catholic?
Orthodox? Good golly, the Orthodox are now fighting among themselves over a separate faith community for the Ukraine!
We Catholics are in our own civil war!
Catholic orthodoxy. Not liberal or rad trad. Authentic teaching of RC Church. Not Greeks or any other Church. Small o orthodoxy.
Sorry I was not more clear.
I tell the truth. Cathilics are not obligated to consider political popes or anyone else as a saint. JP2 bastardized and dumbed down the entire process and Bergoglio has made the process laughable.
Now you understand why I the term “conservative” When it comes to traditional Catholic faith.
Correction:use the term.
You are not the Magisterium. We need to heed it.
