I love how they conveniently leave out that part of the story. But it’s AP so it’s par for the course. until he can find a way to change his DNA, he will always be a man.

Of course. All our family bibles had family history. Of course that is not the same as an autograph but I’m still amazed at the meltdown over this. It is another manufactured “crisis”. What bothers me is that a lot of the media was mocking the hard-working volunteers. All the flags here are at half-mast. People are taking those deaths seriously.
Makes the Bibles a better keepsake - add a list of ancestors and other family members and it’s a real gem....
though some are offended and others say he could have handled it differently.

This is ludicrous. Trump is a celebrity. ANY celebrity will sign whatever momento the fan presents for signature. I’m sure there are MANY bibles out there signed by Billy Graham.
I have a small New Testament from the U.S. Government Printing House, with a forward by FDR, issued to troops in the 1940s. Should libs be outraged that the government was printing bibles back then?
I have a copy of that. Decently bound little hardback, but printed on pulpy paper. I picked it up at a garage sale.

Apparently keeping records of personal or family history in a bible, presumably by writing on the inside cover, was such a common thing at one time, in some part of the US, that it was considered to be reliable information.
Likewise baptismal certificates.

I don’t think I would ask ANY president to sign my Bible, however I have NO PROBLEM with those who want to have it done and will ignore all of the anti-Trump hatred for him doing so.
If someone wants to get their OWN personal bible signed by the President or anyone else its their OWN business..its NONE of my business to tell people what to do with their own belongings
Some people need to get a grip. I have a friend that prints bibles for a living. I can assure you that God is not there every day writing out the books.
It’s a book. It’s not a relic. I guess, unless Trump signs it.
