You obviously don’t know anything about Catholic teaching and annulments.

The Catholic Church doesn’t charge for annulments. Originally the cost was to defray the expenses to investigate your matrimony. Now its free, so you have no excuse not to go get one.

Perhaps you don't know as much about them either.

How much does it cost?

Pope Francis has asked dioceses whenever possible to provide their tribunal services free of charge. Depending upon how much your diocese is able to subsidize the work of its tribunal, you may be asked to pay a nominal fee. You may also be asked to make a donation following the completion of your case. Fees are typically payable over time, and may be reduced or even waived in cases of financial difficulty. Other expenses may be incurred when consultation with medical, psychological, or other experts is needed, or if you obtain the services of a private canon lawyer to represent you.

bayard: Although, five thousand is pitifully cheap to be saved. I don’t see why you would complain about the price when the treasure of following Jesus is worth more than any price.

joefonebone, if you have trusted in Christ to be your Savior, you are saved.

No Roman Catholic lives up to the standard they're trying to impose in you.

The poster seems to suggest you can buy your salvation for the low price of $5000.

There is zero Scriptural support for his position.

Perhaps, being more Christlike would do it.

There is a distinct difference.

But it’s getting harder to be a good Catholic around here with pieces of garbage taking more and more Disgusting shots at a Pope that we know has many views that just don’t jibe with Catholicism.

Never let a Roman Catholic utter the false charge of "Roman Catholic bashing" again in light of this statement.

Cool story Ealgeone.

Now give me a price you are talking about. Most diocese in the USA it is free.

You can misconstrue, “may” and third party organizations that “might” be needed, but those things don’t amount to a specific number. USCCB is explaining that the petitioner may have to pay third party organizations for the evidence they need to build their legal case.

Does your local Diocese charge anything? Probably not.

To be fully Catholic is to be Christ-like. See the examples of the numberless Catholic saints. This is what the Catholic Church calls us all to be.

That has what to do with the price of an annulment in Roman Catholicism which is what my comment was directed towards?

“Simply saying, “purge all communists and punish all the pedophiles” is like saying, “Get rid of all liberals in America then we can be patriotic citizens.”

Not even close. Liberals have EVERY right to hold office in America, pedophiles don’t have ANY right to be Clergy.

“Hand-wringing and fist-waving isn’t going to do anything.”

Ignoring the real problem of why people are leaving the church in droves, won’t either.

Annulments do not range in the five-figure bracket — you have received some mistaken information.

Are they more or less??

can you show us in Scripture where annulments are found?

And the associated costs?

“We do not lose heart …. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God (2 Cor 4:1-2).”

Truth is the church is overrun with communists and pedophiles.

There, I proclaimed it.

Again.

Judas was an apostle until he hanged himself. Regardless of what you think, when the office has been appointed they hold the office and are still clergy, the other apostles could do nothing when Judas betrayed Jesus. They did not also know that he was a traitor. That’s the problem with traitors.

No one is ignoring the problem. But the answer to the problem sure isn’t really only with words on an internet forum. You can say, “get rid of all sinners” all you want but you’re dealing with people and an organization. Its not as simple as finding and removing the obvious.

“Only one recourse exists: invalidate Vatican II.........”

I’m too young/stupid to know what that means.

But if it gets rid of all the communists and pedophiles, then I’m all for it.
