I have to ask because the research that went into this is entirely of the sort normally seen from a seventh grader who is just now looking at an essay assignment which is due in the morning during their first class of the day.

I think you are not recognizing Fisher’s genre. This is neither a research paper, nor a news report, nor a middle-school snow job. It’s a pro-life cri de coeur -— and amazing that it ran in America magazine, which tends toward either silence or soft-core on linked pro-life issues.

Changing the title changes how we think about a problem (I do not want to call suicide an illness. It is a choice and an action.)

Knowing that you are about to ‘comment’ something might be part of what keeps you from taking the last step and helps you get the help needed.
