In the states enforcing the LGBTQ curriculum K-12 in 2020, some teachers are hanging it up and also substitutes may be at a premium . . they have already lessened the qualifications for both.

A Servant of a wicked king was asked “How can you justify working for such a vile wicked king”? and his answer was along the lines of “Because I’m the only moral influence he has, can you imagine how wicked he would be if he didn’t have anyone who represents God working for him?”

He viewed his job as a moral responsibility. We are to be IN the world, but not OF the world- in other-words, We work and play in the world but are not to be part of their sin- We can work and NOT be a part of their sin-

Whoever you work for, You are placed there by God, and have a responsibility to work as ‘unto the Lord’

Servants in the bible were told to honor their bosses- no matter whether the boss was wicked or not- they had an obligation to serve just as vigorously as if they worked for a moral and just boss-

IF we only worked for pure companies that didn’t engage in unethical practices, most of us could not find jobs- There are only a very few companies like that-

The govenrment is full of Anti-Christian, immoral swamp culture hedonism etc- BUT, Christians can and should work in gov as influences for good- influences for morality

We Christians are the ONLY restrainers around beside the Holy Spirit, that keep companies and evil people from all out evil- We are an influence for good- We are called to be a part of the restraining influence in this world,- When Christ comes back and removes Christians, There will no longer be a Restrainer to reign in evil- Evil will have free reign- it will be hell on earth- Demons will walk among people and noone will think twice about it

I say no if you can work there without your daily blood pressure going through the roof. A job is just a job.

Your point is well taken but there are limits. You would not I hope use this argument to work as a bodyguard for a mafia hit man. Or as a ticket taker at the strip club. Or as a photographer for a gay escort
Service. Right ?

Some kind are in and if themselves sinful and should not be performed.

We all work “for wicked men” because everyone is a sinner. But that doesn’t mean that you can work as unto the Lord in any and all capacities.

To each his own. I wouldn’t work for such a company and I have a VERY long ban list of companies I won’t spend a dime with.

[[but there are limits.]]

Of course there are- However, IF one were forced to- they would not be in violation of God’s law-

Let’s say, God forbid, that a foreign murderous entity had taken over the country- and people were forced to work for the evil government who in essence were ‘hitmen’- BUT even here, there comes a limit where we have to put our lives on the line if asked to violate God’s law- ie if we’re asked ot do the murders- if the boss were to demand we renounce God-

Daniel obediah, and friends all worked under a very very evil king- they did so with God’s blessings- This king demanded that everyone bow down and worship him- but of course daniel and friends had to draw the l ine- They also refused ot eat the king’s food because it violated Jewish law- But even in the king’s evil, he allowed them to refuse his food- so these men were moral agents that did have some small influence on the king, and eventually a great influence-

But since we’re talking more about voluntary work- then no- one has to draw some lines at employment under grossly sinful companies- Yes we have to use wise judgement-

[[But that doesn’t mean that you can work as unto the Lord in any and all capacities.]]

It depends on the circumstances ie forced labor- but again, there are still lines that can’t be crossed in such circumstances- like when Daniel refused to bow down and worship the king as a god—

About 15 years ago I was working for Target Corp hq when they banned the Salvation Army bell ringers. I found myself in the awkward position of boycotting my own employer.

I eventually left but have come to the conclusion that most all corporations are evil PC leftist Ahole organizations, including my current employers.

RE: I found myself in the awkward position of boycotting my own employer.

Just curious, how do you boycott your own employer?

The only thing I can think of is NOT patronizing their products. You can’t stop working there... unless you quit.

RE: But He also said the whole “Render unto Caesar...” instruction. Christians are to eschew anything that goes against God, right? Was Caesar using tax $$$ to fund abortions? Sex changes?

Worst or just as bad, Pilate ( Cesar’s proxy ) was referred to as someone who killed Galileans “whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices” (Luke 13:1 ). Pilate committed a lot of atrocities against the Jews when he was governor. How could he do it without using his soldiers? And how are these soldiers paid? with TAXES on Jews of course.

woops- meant ot say

“Let’s say, God forbid, that a foreign murderous entity had taken over the country- and people were forced to work for the evil government who in essence were ‘hitmen’.....

The person would not be in violation of God’s laws DEPENDING on what they did under such an evil entity/government

as shown by the example of Daniel

When my company changed hands to a leftists group it didn’t take long for them to promote the leftist ‘Green’ agenda.... Interesting that clients were “offended” this was being pushed on them to “donate” as well as employees who were coached to do so as part of their job requirements.

...of course some Employees did the very least required without any enthusiasm..thus when $$ donation goals were not reached managemnt was quick to initiate ‘rewards’ for those who excelled in collecting “donations”....which put a foul taste in everyones mouth.

It could be needless to say that this nationwide company went belly up as well as many others in the fleet across the states...and continue doing so today.

Is it wrong to call yourself a church and never talk about abortion or political issues?

EXCELLENT question.

They had an in house print shop I worked at but I've refused to shop at their stores ever since. 10% off groceries was nice while it lasted p

No...it is your choice to work for them, or not. Don’t ask others the question, ask yourself.

That’s the vast majority of companies today.
