The Greek Government Counsellor on the coronavirus pandemic, Ilias Mosialos, urged people to avoid receiving Holy Communion until a safe vaccine is discovered.
Despite the objections of the Hierarchy, which declares that the Holy Communion is a non-negotiable matter, when Ilias Mosialos was asked about the Holy Communion during an interview, he pointed out: In my opinion, we should avoid receiving it (the Holy Communion), until we have a safe vaccine. It would be useful to consider whether it is possible to receive it in a different and safer way. I would like to emphasise that Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has called on the faithful to become a Communion themselves as well as donors of blood and plasma. This is how we can actually prove our love for our fellow human beings, said the Professor of Health Policy at the London School of Economics and the Government Counsellor on Covid-19 in an interview he had with the Greek newspaper Ethnos.
However, it is noteworthy that the Archbishop of America never mentioned the solution suggested by Ilias Mosialos in his message to the faithful.
You will never have a vaccine...
Wishful thinking. Dream on!
uh, councilor.....you stick to practicing tyranny, we’ll worry about how we worship God.
Councilor: “Don’t receive communion until we have a vaccine.”
versus
The Lord: “Do this in remembrance of me.”
Which to choose? Decisions, decisions,....
We’re still waiting for a cancer vaccine.
OOps, I already did.
My diocese started car masses during Easter week.
What else does he want, show your papers as you come to receive Holy Communion?
This is crazy!
Orthodox and myself as Catholic. Is the Bread and Wine the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ or not? There is no virtual Eucharist. Case closed.
There is a deeply spiritual dimension to this. The powers that be, which I assume are allied with Satan, want to stop Christians from meeting together, and they seem especially keen to stop Communion.
