“I saw that movie when it was in it’s first release. It freaked me out”
Ditto. I saw it with friends from work and then had to go home to an empty house. Hubby worked midnights on the AF Base.
I didn’t sleep at night for a week. I had heard similar stories over the years from missionaries we knew — things that had happened when they were in foreign countries.
Amen. According to a book I read by two researchers, drugs and the ouija board were implicated in most of the possession cases they studied. Sadly, Harry Potter has exponentially increased interest in the occult. It’s interesting that Rowling is now under attack by the Father of Lies.
I do worry about the antifa people—I can’t help but believe that many are influenced by demons. And they will be with us for a long time.

....and then you repeat yourself three times? Hmmm.....
Seriously, though, I’ve been told things by people I know very well who have been missionaries here and abroad.
My own mother among them. Her experiences include Chinese border guards being unable to see things in plain sight.
The vast majority — not 100%, but the vast majority — of possession cases are directly tied to the possessed person, or someone close to them, being involved in the occult.
The Omen and Amityville Horror are the one that got to me.
The Munster’s house 1313 Mockingbird Lane. I remember as a kid seeing this on the tour of the Universal Studios backlot. I thought it was one of the coolest parts of the tour. I’m sure it’s just a facade with only the front and nothing in the back. Note also the TV antenna on the roof.
With that thought in mind, here is a must-see episode of Amos & Andy!

I recall two movies that really had me on the edge of my seat: Exorcist and the first Jurassic Park.
Robbie’s Aunt Tillie is named as a family member from St. Louis who was close to the teenager; she was said to have been interested in the occult.[vi] Aunt Tillie reportedly introduced Robbie to the Ouija board before her death, based on some accounts. And, according to a St. Louis University retelling of the story, chaos erupted after he tried to use the board to reach Tillie in the afterlife.[vii]
Never a good idea.
The Hospital that the Exorcism took place at was Alexian Brothers Hospital in South St. Louis. The old Hospital was torn down and replaced however, the stone wall facing South Broadway is still there.
“The book was even better.” Absolutely. I finished it one night in bed, around 10 PM, with the lights still on, and the radio playing a song by Alice Cooper (”School is out Forever” I think). I wouldn’t get up to extinguish the lights; any time thereafter I heard the Alice Cooper song, the hairs on my arms would rise.
Side note: If you enjoyed the book, and haven’t read the sequel “Legion,” you’re in for a real treat. A terrifying one, but still...It was the basis for the movie “Exorcist III.”
the book explained alot of what u see in the movie much better...one instance, the reason the girl turns her head completely around...is that was how “satanic assassins” killed their victims...hence how the film director Burke Dennings was killed. The book and the film really put the zap on my brain back in 1974...i wouldnt watch anything having to do with possession...lol. But, as time went by, didnt bother me anymore...i bet ive seen the movie at least 50 times since...
with high definition t.v...you can see every wire holding Regan up...heh
"Your mama sews socks that smell!"
I knew only a little of this story, thanks for posting.
I think I was 20 when the movie came out. I went with friends and had to leave- it was too much for me. I did read the book - very intense.
