Yes, folks. Pastor Jeffress believes you would be better sending your child to a secular university than Baylor University.

“At least your child will understand the battle lines and what they are instead of being confused by people who claim to be a Christian but act in a completely different way,” he added.

He’s right. Univerities like Baylor and Notre Dame make money by selling themselves as “Christian Universities”. They lov eto have a veneer of Chrstianity about them to lure in the gullible. They’re are the educational version of Chick-Fil-A.

Persimmon, persimmon, Scripps College for women. I wonder if they’re still girls-only. If so, I’ll bet they’ve got a significant contingent of “trans” women, plus women who pretend to be men.

What he fails to realise is that there *are* no ‘secular’ colleges. There are just a larger set of colleges whose core religion is a blend of Marxism, Anti-Semitism and Radical Islam lumped under the magical term: “Wokeness”.

My brother and I both went there for a few semesters in the early 80’s and hated it. We both transferred to Texas Tech and met more Christians there than at Baylor. My family has a long Baylor history and to this day, 40+ yrs later, we still can’t convince our dad to stop throwing away his money on them. God bless Pastor Jeffress. Baylor is an evil place.

Baylor hasn’t been a “Christian” university at the very least since it split from the SBC in 2010. I would even argue the last time anyone would remotely consider BU a religious institution was back in the 80s.

College students, whether they attend Baylor, LSU, UCLA, Michigan or Texas all socialize the same way. There is drinking, there are drugs and there is sex.

Baylor has long had problems with covering up rapes.

It’s been well known for some time that Baylor had strayed from its Baptist upbringing. Heck, the late Ma Richards was a Baylor grad which is the sole reason Baylor was included in the Big XII (so Richards wouldn’t veto the merger with the Big 8).

Baylor reminds me of Notre Dame. They’re outwardly religious but inwardly the same compromised leftist bunk.

Just like the U of Scranton pretends to be Catholic. Just as Pope Frank deceives.

All of the schools whether private or public are there to indoctrinate our children. Sometimes we have little choice. After a few years being an RN, our daughter wanted to continue her education. She went to Baylor for her DNP degree. Well known school in the medical field.

They’re are the educational version of Chick-Fil-A.

That's a bit harsh … toward Chick-Fil-A. Chick-Fil-A's main purpose is to sell chicken, and they do a fine job of it.

Baylor is supposed to sell higher education from a Christian perspective. It's like ordering a chicken sandwich and getting a (not very good) burger instead.

I was going to make a similar comment

I was saved in '81 and started (now continuing) attending an Independent, Fundamental Baptist church where I first heard about church politics.

It was all OVER the place in the eighties.

Unfortunately, our choices for honest and intelligent Americanism are rapidly dwindling and spiritual education and training are more rapidly disappearing.

The Book of Revelation exists BECAUSE there is a reveal to reveal .... and it ain't fiction.

We don't NEED to see/find the USA in the Bible, we need to recognize we are part of the world .... which is all OVER the scriptures

I’m just saying that Chick-Fil-A has sold a lot of sandwiches on the good will of Christians who thought of them as a “Christian company”. When the rubber met the road, however, they chose to stop donations to several orthodox christian charities in order to “expand markets”.

Baylor (like Chick-Fil-A) is a business. They can both do whatever they want in pursuit of dollars. But they both built thier customer base on the image of Christian culture. Neither should be allowed to do so any more.

You may get a great education at Baylor (just like you may get a good chicken sandwich at Chick-Fil-A. But in reality, Baylor is just another university (in a sea of universities) and Chick-Fil-A is just another fast food join in sea of fastfood joints. There’s nothing significantly special or unique about either.

If you go to a public unit, find one that has a church nearby that supports your faith. It’s as important as the school itself. My kids have met students at their state university that are very knowledgeable about and committed to their faith. They have learned a lot.
