Is racism wrong? “Modern people believe this: man descended from apes. Therefore, let us love one another.”

RE: It’s a personal choice. You want to off yourself because you think life is just a tragedy, go for it. Some do.

What is good or bad, right or wrong is a personal decision informed and enforced by the consequences of you choices. Choose wisely.

If I understand you correctly, good or bad are simply PERSONAL CHOICES, There is no overriding universal objective rule that tells us that Hitler is worse than Mother Theresa.

Now, if Hitler had won the war, his choice would have been called wise based on HIS PREFERENCE or PERSONAL CHOICE, not because his beliefs are inherently evil.

So in a more local sense, cheating in an election is not objectively, morally wrong as long as you win the election.

The winner in this sense has chosen wisely based on the result. Cheating in and of itself is not objectively wrong, it’s simply a preference. Wise or Foolish depends on one’s own definition of what’s wise or foolish.

There is no ultimate, omniscient moral judge who tells you that cheating in and of itself is wise or foolish.

In other words, right or wrong, wise or foolish are simply labels we attach yo actions based on personal preference.

There seems to be quite a few people who enjoy the benefits of our morality, but prefer not to carry the responsibilities of our morality.

“Some just die off only the strongest and the fittest are the only ones the evolve.”

In nature it’s often the case that fewer than half of offspring live long enough to reach adulthood and reproduce.

So “only the strong survive” is built into nature’s plan or, as science puts it: only the best adapted survive & reproduce.

Technically the concept is that man is a type of ape sharing 97% of genes with gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans and bonobos.

Some of the ancestral creatures evolved to australopithecus who then evolved into homo erectus etc and many dead ends like Denisovans and Neanderthals

Other proto apes descended into gorillas etc

Apes descended from monkeys but there are still monkeys.

Dogs descended from wolves but there are still wolves.

There are between around 30–40 subspecies of Canis lupus (which are sometimes split into full species but I’m not going to go into that here) and often ‘Timber Wolf’ can refer collectively to the grey wolves in North America and the different subspecies of North American wolf can be described as blank Timber Wolf e.g Eastern Timber Wolf for Canis lupus lycaon or Alaskan Timber Wolf for Canis lupus occidentalis.

There are sub species among these.

However the genetic difference between a Khoisan and an Australian Aborigine (the two most extreme examples of humans) is less than between the different sub species of wolves and even less than between different breeds of dogs

Don’t they use fruit flies or some such in their genetic research on disease (something like a 65% match)?

“Chimps on TV and at the zoo seem to be so much nicer and cuter. They shouldn’t be slandered by being accused of being so close to humans”

You are kidding.

Chimpanzees in the wild are extremely violent, like humans on PCP. They slaughter other chimps, conduct wars etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gombe_Chimpanzee_War?wprov=sfla1

Common chimpanzees (unlike Bonobos) are very aggressive: they are powerfully built and their social structure is based on male dominance where one alpha male and his buddies rule the roost

One of the most aggressive chimps ever known was Frodo, a member of the prestigious “F” family at Jane Goodall’s Gombe Stream study. He rose to power by defeating his older brother, Freud, to become alpha male of the Kasakela community, which is the group Goodall initially habituated. Frodo regularly killed chimpanzees from other groups, knocked off about ten percent of the red colobus monkey population in the area on his own, and on at least one occasion attacked, killed, and partially ate a human baby. He once jumped on Goodall and smashed her head and neck into the ground, nearly killing her. He also forced his own mother to mate with him (unusual for chimps). He finally died of wounds received in battle when he was past his prime.

And yet the wolves will tend to their own type.

A few years ago I had a good friend - a fellow gun nut like myself, We belonged to a private shooting range South of town (actually it was just about 75 acres, that you go out and shoot just about any kind of gun on).

We were out there one time and he was showing me how he had kind of rigged up an active target. He started talking about how ‘they’ had set this up and how much fun ‘they’ had shooting at it. It was gathering that I hadn't been invited to,Shortly afterward I noticed he became less talkative.

On our way back to town we stopped at this little joint on for beer and a burger. Eventually he said something like, you know you one of my very best friends, but sometimes I and some really old buddies like to hangout and talk about the old days.I said don't worry about a bit.

You see he was black and I'm white. I didn't take any offense whatsoever because sometime it just feels better - I don't think there was a dam thing racist about it. Frequently birds of a feather like to flock together. Nothing more to it than that.

//////////////////////////

Of course I was kidding.

Controversy, here I come. In the first Reagan Admin. there was a study on the causes of urban violent crime. Later, the President ordered it stopped cold and the data impounded. I cannot find references to all this but I remember it happening.

Here is an item: The President’s Secret Crime Report (Princeton University)
I don’t want to link directly to this copyrighted long item. Please Google that title but drop their added “1967.”

Suppressed report was Too Much Crime, Too Little Justice and said investigators were uncovering immense fear everywhere that people thought crime had been out of control for a long time.
Good line:page 14 ....these copies of the report never left the loading dock for distribution.

Findings were the exact opposite of what BLM and CRT would want to e true, so they had to disappear.
