The man is the sworn enemy of conservative Americans, considering us to be the epitome of evil in this world. Our victory yesterday will not be and cannot be celebrated by him, despite his occasional lip service about the right to life.
It’s interesting. The “Catholic left” has to some extent hid behind Roe for decades. They’ve argued that Row was the law of the land, and there’s nothing any politician can really do that affects abortion anyway so you may as well support pro-abortion Dems because they’re so much better on helping the poor blah blah blah
I suppose we now have Bergoglio’s answer to the U.S. Bishops, and to Catholic-heavy SCOTUS.
Bergoglio allowed Pelosi an audience with him at the earliest possible date. Most U.S. Bishops outside of Cupich, Farrell and McElroy could not possibly get an audience with Bergoglio in anything like that kind of time frame, for any reason whatsoever.
After granting Pelosi that audience, Bergoglio did not hesitate to pull rank on the Archbishop of San Francisco by distributing the Holy Sacrament of the Altar to her (which, of course, she did not hesitate to receive and consume) at a mass at which he himself was the sacrificient.
