Matt is actually an outstanding pastor and teacher. We are all fallen creatures and both the elders and him did the biblical solution.
But we like throwing stones in our own self-righteousness. Its not like anyone else in society self-censures. He admitted it was disciplinary.
I pray he grows and returns to the pulpit, or whatever ministry God has for him.
HE reported what the female said to the Elders. HE showed the elders the ENTIRE text exchanged. Nobody told on him, HE reported it. And he humbly accepted the consequences. If you would watch his admission to his congregation, you would see a humble, godly, embarrassed, fully accountable husband, father and outstanding preacher. Matt Chandler is no Jimmy Swaggart.
We went to the Village Church for 10 years. We left when Matt our pastor went woke. He told the congregation that we had white privilege. We left there 2 years ago.
