Nationlism is fantastic compared to the corrupting sludge of globohomo.

And that was Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, thoroughly rejected and condemned.

“Even here, in the US... I think there are people who would rather have a ‘righteous’ king or dictator than a democratically elected government run by those they consider sinful and immoral.”

Thats why this place sounds more like the “Pharisee Republic” than the FR at times.

China is an economic threat, not a military one except to Vietnam, India and the Republic of China. I put the RoC last as they have adequate defences on their own to repulse the PRC.
The existential threat is Islam.

While I agree that Islam m is a danger that will not be handled until we deport all Muslims that are foreign nationals, when it comes to the Chinese, industrial power directly translates in the military power and China can fight a long war far effectivel than America can.

An influential Orthodox priest said that Russian women worried about their sons dying in Ukraine should have more babies.

In an interview with the Russian TV channel Spas on Wednesday, Mikhail Vasilyev was asked whether he sympathizes with mothers whose sons were recently mobilized to fight in the war in Ukraine.

You left out the happy ending of the Vasilyev story.

From the horses mouth, Russia Today:

Veteran Russian military priest Mikhail Vasilyev has been killed in Ukraine, the Moscow Patriarchate said in a statement on Sunday. According to media reports, he died of shrapnel wounds from a missile launched by a US-made HIMARS system.

The priest was the rector at St. Barbara cathedral, the Patriarchate’s metochion for Russia’s strategic missile forces.

The 51-year-old cleric had served with the Russian military for decades, the Patriarchate noted. Vasilyev took part in multiple armed conflicts, providing spiritual guidance to the country’s troops during Russian peacekeeping missions to Kosovo and Bosnia, conflicts in Abkhazia and Kyrgyzstan, insurgencies in Russia’s North Caucasus, and the operation in Syria.

The question I pose: would you rather have Trump (or DeSantis) installed by force or AOC elected with Democratic control of both houses? And of course, it’s fun to ask liberals ‘would you rather have Trump with both houses republican or Bernie installed for life by some means?

I would go with the will of the people always.

The people get the govt they deserve.

To force in our favor would permit force against us.

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”

Maybe , but the point is that Russia has been a major problem ever since ww2 and now we have a golden opportunity to put them permanently in its place. That should be priority 1 now.
