Slavery is connected to abortion in the sense that one human's life is at the mercy of another's due to their "ownership". A slave holder because he had legal possession of his slave could decide whether the slave lived or died. Abortion supporters reason that the mother "owns" the unborn child in her body and has the right to determine whether he/she will live or die. Abortion advocates use euphemisms to try to deny the connection but it STILL boils down to who owns the human slave or unborn baby. That is why they will vehemently argue against recognizing the "personhood" of the unborn.
