“...You want fries with them?...”
You misspelled “flies”...(grin)
Aren’t these the scum bags, who want to reduce the world population to 500 million? What scum bags.
I think you’re right...
Now, it’s just “sit back and take it...”
This is directed to just about everyone in this thread:
I can’t believe you people.
We all complain about how the media lies and then we.. you fall to the exact same tactics.
The headline says Tyson is working with the WEF to make us eat bugs.
Do you understand how stupid that is?
Tyson has purchased a cutting edge cricket processing company in Europe to own their intellectual property. Tyson has been doing this, with insect factories, FOR YEARS. They do it for their pet foods lines!
Tyson has the capacity to farm MUCH MORE chicken and other livestock and would rather sell that at an inflated price than sell crickets.
The right-wing, especially those here in the FR echo chamber, are so damned GULLIBLE, and it needs to stop. These writeres make money from you getting angry! They know you will rally around the headline and believe everything they type because it agrees with your world views !
STOP IT !
Too funny though. The USDA shuts down food producers for insects. Solves that problem, eh?
“Arthropods are NOT distant cousins of insects. Think of THAT when you eat your next lobster!
I’m willing to give Tyson a chance, although I don’t care for lobster.”
I had a friend who would not eat “Water Insects” for the same reason. lol
I wonder if Tyson Foods is secretly include insect meal in processed foods? Calling it protein meal or some such BS. I would expect them to do so.
Time to stop buying Tyson.
This is not the first time we have heard this. The are other bug for food plants in Canada and elsewhere.
It is you not seeing beyond this article.
Agree. Of course addition of bug meal will be done for the good of the planet.
I’m not against insects as food. People have eaten insects throughout history. However it’s wrong to force people to eat bugs in order to control the food supply and enrich stakeholder capitalists promoting the lie of climate change.
It fits
I abandoned/boycotted tyson way back when hitlery made millions by funneling/laundering money through tyson.
Only the World Economic Forum (WEF) wants us to eat insects as a protein source as an alternative meat substitute.
Someone who believes that they can get a significant jump on the market,
and sees future financial benefit - it's called an investment.
Right now, only third world countries that forage for their food eat insects for protein.
The market is not there now, which makes this investment seem ludicrous now,
however, I personally don't see a future of insects as a 'protein source'.
If the market fails to materialize, they can write off the expenses on their taxes,
on the other hand, if the market does materialize, they will be significantly more advanced in development than their competitors.
So far, almost all the alternatives to meat as a protein source have been a financial losing position ( ie.: 'Beyond Meat').
Once the novelty wears off, the product alternatives to farm raised meat have failed to be successful ,or prosperous.
When people object to being limited to buying cricket flour, Tyson will issue a statement: “But, you have been eating it for years.”
Hard pass! I don’t think I’ve bought anything ‘Tyson’ ever. Maybe some frozen chicken nuggets when the kids were small? That brand is not offered at my Piggly Wiggly; they sell a local ‘Amish’ brand and one out of Iowa, which works for me.
You have been eating bugs in your food for years, just no many. Flour has a set amount of bugs and rat feces allowed and is checked often because bugs and vermin are everywhere, impossible to avoid in mass production
You can produce perfectly clean food but real people could not afford it. We are able to feed the nation because of we mass produce food rather cheaply.
No I have no intention of eating bugs but neither did the people of North Korea.
