In the America article he is also more or less spot on on the place of episcopal conferences.

Yet at the same time, he's really trying to give credence to his wicked Sin-Nods and his Sin-Nodal "Church". Go figure.

There are medicines that can help you, seriously. You need good help. The suffering can be defeated.

You could, but it would be irrelevant, since Islam doesn’t have a priesthood and doesn’t claim to have developed from Biblical Judaism.

This is why the Reformation happened, lol.

The apostate, Bergoglio, celebrated your Reformation. He's one of yours.

for God’s sake let’s not have women priests when we can ordain men who rape children in this century the church will beg for more priests and they will ordain women out of necessity. People who won’t got to mass with a female celebrant will all be dead.

you should be concerned what might happen after you die if you support these child molesters and giving communion to people who publicly support abortion and in fact fund them

And AM not a prot I am an agnostic who was Catholic for 45 years and who continues to believe in the teaching of Jesus Christ and abhors the Catholic church for its hypocracy, lawlessness and lack of morality.

I don't know what you are, but if you are a member if this church you have loose screw somewhere and your Christianity failed thew minute you miscalled me. Do what I did listen to the mother of a 9 year old who wasn't just raped but physically abused . I almost vomited when I heard her describe how a priest kicked him in the high upper leg in the same spot time after time each time he molested him and she showed photos of the different color bruises . He picked the spot because her knew the kid took his own shower and mother might not see it. And the church did nothing, nothing until years later after Mahoney got sent to the vatican for a chushy job at the request of the DA and the people of Los angeles. When you can do that I might listen to your pathetic uninformed merciless opinion.

If all men disappeared, who cares what the lesbians do with themselves?

They'll all disappear in the next generation.

Abhor the hierarchy if you want, but even not all of them are bad. FWIW St. John Chrysostom was of the opinion that the majority (but not all) of Bishops went to hell. That’s his opinion, who am I to judge?

Then read the first eight chapters of I Samuel and of both books of Maccabees. Then review the parables of the tares, the seed sown on various soil, and the teachings on planks and specks as obstructions.

Power corrupts. Even in divinely grounded but still human institutions.

You were, and remain, part of the Church. What did you do when you heard about the problems other than let the b@st@rds drive you out to a state and place where your impact is minimal?

I’d probably burn Mahoney at the stake if I had a chance, but I ought to be more concerned about my own flaws which I have chances to correct and more often than not give myself a pass. Whatever problems Bishops have, my biggest problem is myself, and unless you were immaculately conceived, you may be able to relate.

The great thing about the Church is that while it seems to be full of hypocrites, there is always room for one more, so you are welcome back any time you want and we’ll take new ones any time they are interested. Five of the following six lines are generally spot on (line 2 is off).

I’m a Roman Catholic
And have been since before I was born
And the one thing they say about Catholics is:
They’ll take you as soon as you’re warm

You don’t have to be a six-footer
You don’t have to have a great brain

Monty Python is hit or miss on theology, sort of like the Pope when speaking off the cuff. But who am I to judge?

I’m the bloody Pope, I am.

To ordain women is to accuse Jesus of discrimination; He knew 2,000 years ago we’d be discussing this, and He still chose 12 men.

Did He make a mistake?

No he just picked 12 men at least one woman followed him why wasn’t she an apostle?

All of that is irrelevant Were there Japanese apostles or Africans, or Indians? Why is that al;owed.

Prove to me Jesus said: no female priests even in the future. The church has evolved on the issue by alllowing lays to distribute communication and administer to the sick when a priest is not available They teach in Catholic schools and do readings at mass. If they can explain the teaching of Jesus they can be a priest. If they can die for their beliefs they can be priests.

The reduced availability of male priests will change the church and God will still be pleased. That’s my opinion. That’s why I say the church should get started now before things get worse and et us old folks pass on while the younguns accept the change. 100 years from now no one will say what you say.

you lose. all of the hierarchy are responsible because they couldn’t influence the pope and many bishops and the last 5 popes. And many covered it up It is basic principle on managerial ethics that they keep the organization clean. Why give a pass to the most powerful church in the world whose crimes are evident.

I won’t read the rest of the comment from someone who is an apologist for abortion supporters and molesters. Nor do I need to read it. I see this opinion on a regular basis from those whose children have not been abused. Best wishes you will seek understanding. You support the hundreds of millions paid out to victims why do you think that’s not an admission of guilt.

And what’s with giving holy communion to funders of abortion
A couple of years ago Pelosi’s liberal archbishop banned her from communion. Two months later she was in the vatican sucking up to the pope to show what a moral leader she is and yes receiving communion against the declaration of her home bishop. Don’t bother. This is inexplicable and evil.

My brother was abused, albeit not by a priest but by a public school teacher, with teachers likely being responsible for more abuse than priests by orders of magnitude.

Eli’s sons in I Samuel are guilty of abuse.

Are all Americans are responsible for all the evils perpetuated by Americans over the past 70 years because they couldn’t influence the NEA, Washington and Hollywood.

If you want to be a servant of good when the good is being abused, stay where the instruments of good can be found along with some people intent on using them and fight for it from within with your own well-placed use of prayer, fasting, time, and money. That you find wickedness in the Church inexplicable demonstrates a facile understanding of the Church.

your math may be weak and I am not easily fooled by twisted statistics. Besides the problems are separate You don’;t excuse your dirty catholic clergy by pointed out teachers molest kids.

Teachers should be responsible for more crime there are more teachers by a long shot and more kids in public school. most teachers who abuse sexually get arrested and school districts rarely cover for them because they will be arrested too. Parents of catholic kids have less say and access.

I’m tired of this subject and reject your attempt to lessen the responsibility of church hierarchy. Rethink and come to the light.
