The one about the pope simply needs a name.
The orthodox don’t recognize the pope as the supreme authority, hence the schism. So I have no doubt you understand full well what I am asking. You are not stupid.

They are not silly questions. You won’t answer them for no good reason anyone can fathom.
We can then presume that you do recognize Vatican 2 as valid and Pope Francis as the legitimate pope.
If you refuse to answer mine, I will not answer yours. Why should I give you the courtesy of an answer when you won’t do the same?

I have told you and your other fellow Catholics before, otherwise you would be accused of mindreading.
But I also know what lies your compatriots have spread about me because some of them have FReepmailed me with the accusations, spreading them as if they were fact.
So what you *know* is worth nothing and means nothing because unless you say something I don’t know if it
is the truth I have told you or lies you have latched on to and believed.
Basically, I seriously doubt you know.
BTW, red herring by turning it around to me. You still haven’t answered the questions and everyone knows that because they can see and read.

Back in the 70’s(?) I seem to recall the rumor that Billy Graham owned all of the strip clubs in Minneapolis!
Roman Catholics have tried to play the "we've been around a long time card" to think they are right. But as you correctly point out time means nothing in these matters.
Another way to look at this is God has allowed people extra time for repentance.
Yet, when one RC (?) makes these anto-pope posts....crickets.
IIRC metmom, and many others on these forums, have noted one of their reasons for leaving Rome was their study of the Bible and how what Rome was teaching differed from the Bible.
Rome claims they follow Scripture but when an honest appraisal of their claims is made in relation to Scripture those claims are found lacking.
It's not that bad, actually.
It’s ironic that an article written by an orthodox Catholic priest for an orthodox Catholic newspaper, triggers such hatred in the prot posse that they holler “catholic bashing”, while they do it themselves 24-7.
There’s one word for them: “hypocrites”.
That is EXACTLY what happened when Francis was first elected and installed as pope.
He was saying the most off the wall stuff and we were warning Catholics about it and the outcry was great. We were anti-Catholic, Catholic bashing, Haters, etc. the pope was misinterpreted, misquoted, misunderstood, the news source was not reliable or reporting accurately, he was taken out of context, yada, yada, yada.
Look at the change now. Catholics are doing the most pope bashing of anyone, and still if WE criticize him or the magisterium which installed him, we're still haters, bashers, and antis. We're being condemned for doing the very thing Catholics allow for themselves.
They don't recognize his authority as valid and refuse to submit to it, but expect us to do (submit to the authority of Catholicism and the pope) what they themselves are unwilling to do.
