Thank you for all of the positive reponse to this Catholic Call to Prayer and Action. Many of you requested that I repost the thread, and I am doing so.
I entreat you not to respond to disruptors who may try to interrupt this thread again. Let us keep focused on Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Church we love. Thank you.

I prayed for our parish priests at mass tonight. Fortunately, we are blessed with three good ones. May the Lord send us more honest workers for the harvest.

2. Ask the Holy Father to require churches without fail to restore the Tabernacle back to its original location directly behind the center of the altar.
7. Ask the Holy Father to restore the prayer St. Michael the Archangel to the close of every Mass to be prayed aloud by all present.
8. Ask the Holy Father to extend the faculty to every priest in the Church to celebrate Mass according to the 1962 Missal.
Ah Father, if only .............
I will say my daily rosary and pray most fervently for our Lords Church.
To be honest, I pray for a fully restored Pre-Vatican II Church.

Sigh...I'm sad to hear the previous thread was deleted. The last time I checked in, it had been hijacked. We (Catholics) must persevere. We are besieged on all sides from within and without the Church.

FYI
GOOD FRIDAY ROSARY CRUSADE.
Please join Catholics around the world in praying the Rosary between noon and 3:00 pm on Good Friday for the end of legalized abortion.

Disruptors got the last thread pulled?
Got the heads up from my Mom and others on the Rosary. Either after Stations at noon or services at 3:00.
God bless you, Father_Elijah.

The last thread was posted in Religion and it still was stomped on? Just curious.

Thank you, father for all that you do and also for this post.

Thank you, Father. I was sorry to see that original thread had been deleted, but I had saved your article to disk. At the Easter Vigil we will pray:
Ut Ecclesiam tuam sanctam
regere et conservare digneris,
te rogamus, audi nos.Ut domnum apostolicum
et omnes ecclesiaticos ordines
in sancta religione conservare digneris,
te rogamus, audi nos.
And from this evening's (Maundy Thursday) Liturgy:
Maneant in vobis fides, spes, caritas, tria hæc:
maior autem horum est caritas.
I see you have also started a thread on the Hymns of Holy Week for Wednesday, but in light of what happened, I hope you won't mind if I post the great hymn from this evening's liturgy here:
Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.
Exsultemus et in ipso iucundemur.
Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum.
Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero. Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
Simul ergo cum in unum congregamur:
Ne nos mente dividamur, caveamus.
Cessent iurgia maligna, cessent lites.
Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus.
Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est.
Simul quoque cum beatis videamus
Glorianter vultum tuum, Christe Deus:
Gaudium, quod est immensum, atque probum,
Sæcula per infinita sæculorum.
Blessing for the Triduum, and thanks again!

Father Elijah,
Here's the synthesis of your work I promised the other day. I tried to make it into a letter that regular lay folks can send to their priests, bishop, the Pope, and anyone else they think might be beneficial to the cause.
I hope you and others find it suitable. If not, please let me know where it may be adjusted.
---------------------------------
Dear ...[or "Your Eminence" depending on who you're writing to],
I am a devout Catholic and am very concerned about the state of the Church here in America. I believe that our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Light of the World is even now exposing acts of evil within the Church. He is revealing those who wound his sacred Body by abusing children and youth. Our Lord is also exposing rot and disease within the structures and leadership of the Church from within provinces of religious orders, Catholic universities, and diocesan chanceries.
I believe it is time to clean house. First and foremost, the pederasts, sex abusers, fornicators, adulterers and homosexuals need to be removed from leadership and the ranks of the ordained. That such a purging may occur, I have pledged myself to do the following [pick one or more of the following]:
1) Seek confession on a more regular basis;
2) receive the Eucharist on the Feast of Divine Mercy and receive Christs promises to St. Faustina of mercy and pardon;
3) engage in works of mercy; and encourage others to do the same.
5.) pray the rosary daily
6.) attend Daily Mass or a daily Act of Spiritual Communion
7.) attend Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
8.) attend Benediction and Adoration
9.) say Prayers of Reparation
10.) say the Stations of the Cross
11.) say The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy
12.) say The Litanies
13.) attend Novenas, especially the Novena to the Holy Spirit
14.) attend The Liturgy of the Hours
I beg you to disclose fully and immediately any evidence of criminal wrongdoing or improper sexual behavior within the clergy that you are aware of. This horrible scandal must be stopped. Until I can be certain that our diocese [or parish] is free from corruption, I will be directing my financial support to those parts of the Catholic Church that are beyond reproach.
I furthermore request that you urge the following actions be taken: [choose one or more of these]
1. The Holy Father lead the Church in a worldwide Day of Penance for the sexual sins of the Churchs leadership.
2. The Holy Father require churches without fail to restore the Tabernacle back to its original location directly behind the center of the altar.
3. The Holy Father declare that homosexuals may not receive Holy Orders but are welcome to carry their cross among the ranks of the lay faithful.
4. The Holy Father remove Cardinals, bishops, priests, and deacons who have covered up cases of sexual abuse and see to their prosecution.
5. The Holy Father please give the Church in the USA new Cardinals, for example, elevating men of the caliber of Archbishop Chaput of Denver.
6. The Holy Father suspend the US National Conference of Catholic Bishops and to appoint a Triumvirate to clean house, to root out evil, and to liberate the Church in the USA from error and crime.
7. The Holy Father restore the prayer St. Michael the Archangel to the close of every Mass to be prayed aloud by all present.
8. The Holy Father extend the faculty to every priest in the Church to celebrate Mass according to the 1962 Missal.
9. The Holy Father to issue a sentence of automatic excommunication for any Catholic who votes or works to support the ongoing holocaust of abortion.
10. The Holy Father disassociate the Church from those once Catholic universities and colleges that no longer affirm the magisterium of the Church or loyalty to the Pope.
11.) The Holy Father shut down religious orders or provinces of religious orders (like the California province of the Society of Jesus) that are a scandal in themselves.
12.) Inquire of the Holy Father whether or not it would be better to give Cardinal Law, Cardinal Egan, and Cardinal Mahony new jobs at the Vatican.
13.) Ask the Holy Father to give the Cardinals red hat to great men of faith, men like Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J.
14.) Ask the Holy Father to make someone like Fr. Benedict Groeschel the next Archbishop of New York.
15.) Ask the Holy Father to make someone like Bishop F. Bruskewitz the next Archbishop of Boston.
Finally, please be aware that I pray for you, the Pope, and all the clergy with all my heart. I thank you for the personal sacrifices you have made in your devotion to Christ and for the vows you took at your ordination. Please keep in mind that although I am disgusted and frustrated with the scandal afflicting Mother Church, I truly love and cherish good, faithful priests like yourself.
Sincerely,
My Name
"We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Amen. Yes, thanks, Father. We pray daily for the restoration of Holy Mother Church and her liturgy. Now we add her priesthood.

I will happily add your intentions to my daily prayers, and also pray a novena to St. Jude (my favorite!) that your work bears fruit...God bless us every one! ;-D

A BUMP to the thread... And an observation: The Holy Thursday service at my parish was attended by quite a few people... all age groups represented! Prayer works!
To: father_elijah
Father, thank you for posting again since I missed it the first time around. Also, how can I be added to the Catholic_list? I would really appreciate it if someone could put me on that bump list.
God bless you!
