Skip to comments.[WARNING: I think this is a fabrication] Prophecy attributed to Mother Teresa?

While attending a retreat this weekend, I learned of a prophetic vision or dream experienced by Mother Theresa just hours before she died in September 1997. The details we were given, (by an internationally renowned priest, and highly responsible and reliable source), are rather sketchy, but worth relating. Mother Theresa apparently awoke at about 8:00 pm on the evening she died. (She was to die at approximately 9:30 pm). She was perfectly lucid and in full possession of her faculties. She summoned the members of her community to gather round, and she related her dream, which was rooted in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
The First Horseman represented the plague that is to overtake the world and kill millions. It would strike five years after her death, in the month of August. The second Horseman represented the war, to take place in 2003. Though of short duration, it would once again claim millions of victims. America would wage total war in the Middle East, (the plans for this are well advanced, it's all about oil, but more on that some other time), Russia would ultimately join with America, while China would arm and side with the Muslims. It would become a nuclear exchange.
The third Horseman wasn't mentioned, but the fourth was a brilliant shining light. Mother Theresa apparently revealed that it represented God, and admonished her sisters to cling to Him with unflinching trust and not despair throughout whatever was to come. One of the things that arouses doubts about the authenticity of private revelation is precise dates. Heaven invests a purposeful ambiguity here; we are not given a schedule according to which we can amend our lives in our own good time, but are instead prudently advised to act as though things will happen sooner rather than later. But what makes this case so different is that all of this information has been included in the documentation that is being sent to Rome in support of Mother Theresa's cause for beatification.
At one time, about 10 years ago, I followed much of the Marian "apparitions" and Catholic prophecy quite closely. However, I found this robbed me of my peace, and there was absolutely no valid objective criteria upon which to discern the validity of various claims.
I am just curious whether others here have seen this floating around the internet, or have heard of this alleged prophecy before?
Truly said. I used to do the same thing and I used to buy the books of prophecies, visions etc. The friends I know who attended to this closer than did I, were totally freaked about Y2K and they were absoultely convinced that everything would collapse. We appeared to deal with it ok. Now, those same friends are anticipating other future tragedies with similar certitude they are inescapable
Anybody can say anything and attribute it to anybody else. Anyway, the "it's all about oil" sounds fishy to me as well.
The Buffalo Bills will never win the Super Bowl
But what makes this case so different is that all of this information has been included in the documentation that is being sent to Rome in support of Mother Theresa's cause for beatification.Probably with a note saying there is no proof she ever said this. Had she said it I would be more than a little shocked to have not heard it before now. We hear every public word Sister Lucia speaks in short order, usually before she says it. I can't imagine why it would take five years for a real prophecy from Mother Theresa to spread.
We are praying he will convert, and go mute, but not in that order. ;-)
You are so right. I had a neighbor who was "converted" at Medjugorje. She became involved with a national group of visionaries who also claim to be receiving messages from the BVM. Carol Ameche's name immediately comes to mind.
As Y2K drew closer, she started talking about black helicopters and UN plans to grab property. They were all waiting (and still are) for The Warning. It was like an obsession.
I have not heard anything about Mother Teresa's supposed apparition, not have I been able to find any information at other web sites.
Apocalypse 13:13 "Woe betide that team that trades the Babe."
And if the end comes before the Cubs win another WS, I'll still be happy.
Sounds like a UFO invasion to me.
5 years after Mother Teresa's death (September 2002) 1st Horseman would bring plague that kills millions
1st Seal - White Horse, rider with bow & crown went forth conquering (Rev 6:1-2)2003, 2nd horseman brings war with millions of victims
2nd Seal - Red Horse, rider given power to take peace from the earth, [people] slay each other, and rider given a great sword (Rev 6:3-4)Fourth horseman is bring shining light that represents God
3rd Seal - Black Horse, rider brings famine (Rev 6:5-6)
4th Seal - Pale Horse, rider is Death, Hades follows, they together kill 1/4 of the earth by sword, hunger, death, and beasts (Rev 6:7-8a)The timing could fit. This summer, the "Madrid Quartet" (US, Russia, EU, UN) had planned to enact a Mideast Peace plan between Israel and the PLO which could be a false peace. If it is the False Peace which begins the 7 year tribulation, then the 1st Seal could be opened thereafter (Sept?) and a mideast war, possibly with weapons of mass destruction, in full swing by 2003.
The 1st seal/horseman should not seem to bear a plague, and most significant is the 4th Horseman is not God, and on that basis I would tend to discount all of it.
As Polycarp notes, only the Father knows the time of the Son's return, but we are told for what signs of the end of the age we are to watch (and many do seem to be budding), so we should stay watchful, and keep our lamps filled.
The fourth horse according to your post is " but the fourth was a brilliant shining light. Mother Theresa apparently revealed that it represented God, " Yet according to Revelation 6:7&8 the fourth horse is in no way the Lord And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
I would have to say that whoever made this up, while maybe a Roman Catholic priest, certainly has very little knowledge of the word of God.
