Well, I will go out on a limb and say that I fully expect John Paul II to be canonized within my lifetime. Lucky are we to have the example of a living saint.

Wow. I thought the same thing as I saw some of the photos from Poland. I thought that someday I will be praying to him, with him, for him. I was 8 when he was made pope, so basically my entire life, he's the cornerstone of my view of the Church in our time.

I think the same...and this coming from a rather skeptical person who wishes he was much tougher on some of the cancers eating our Church right now.

All the carping of us traditionalists aside, the very public suffering of this frail, weak man is the mark of a saint.
