What is the chief and greatest end of man?

Ok here is the EO version. "It is the classical teaching of the Orthodox Church that the very essence of Christian spiritual life, the very essence of life itself, is the acquisition of the Holy Spirit of God."

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you...The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. i think that covers both catechisms don't you? Amazing how perceptive a bunch of dead guys committed to what the world calls "dead orthodoxy" can be isn't it?
