You are right, it is an impasse. But we can only use our best reasoning and act out of good conscience. Our Lord said there would be false prophets and that they would look like good shepherds but were not. He said we would know them by their fruits. St. Paul also warned we should not depart from Christ's teachings, that even if an angel came down from heaven to tell us otherwise, we should stick to them. The doctors of the Church make the same point and make no exception for popes, however charismatic. No one is superior to the traditional faith.
FRANCISCO SUAREZ, S.J. (1548-1617)
"If [the pope] gives an order contrary to right customs, he should not be obeyed; if he attempts to do something manifestly opposed to justice and the common good, it will be lawful to resist him; if he attacks by force, by force he can be repelled, with a moderation appropriate to a just defence." (De Fide, Disp. X, Sec. VI, N. 16)
VENERABLE POPE PIUS IX (1846-1878)
"If a future pope teaches anything contrary to the Catholic Faith, do not follow him."
Where will the faith be in a thousand years from now, do you think, if all popes believe it is their right to introduce doctrines at variance with Tradition? The faith would be totally eclipsed, buried under a deluge of politically correct innovations. No, above all else, the pope is obliged to protect what he inherits. This was not done during this and the previous papacies.

I am truly sorry because the Mass is beautiful and powerful and I am sure the catechesis is also excellent. This same tradition is maintained in the Catholic Church, and blessed by the Holy Father, as The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter
Fraternity .
