We all operate on the owner's turf at the owner's pleasure.

With all due respect, as a monthly contributor, I help pay for that pleasure.

With all due respect, I am not aware that contributors got a free pass on violating the owner's rules.

Look, you're the one perpetuating this. If you'll look back my only comments on this thread since post 12 have been to respond to you. So if you want it dropped, do so.

With respect to Registered and in light of Post #121 I won't respond to you on this thread again.

I'm not backing down. There are just bigger battles to fight and my disagreements aren't really with you anyway.

Welcome. Neil is certainly one of the best. He can laugh at himself, but be brutally honest.

Thanks for posting that info. So glad he was baptized...and I'll bet he is too. Let's keep him in our prayers.

Aren't you a Catholic? If you are than how can you say baptism is no big deal?

It's a nice thing, but in the grand scheme of the news that is going on and being posted on this site, it's not that big a thing. And by no means is it "the most awesome result of this war."

You guys are alright most of the time. You can provide insights on some issues.

LOL, I disagree on this point.

I don't have a problem with an obsession about free speech.

Really? Is this a government-owned forum? Or is this site your personal property?

If you knew me at all, you would know I am meticulous about abiding by the rules here. Thus your questions would be irrelrvant.

I am all over this forum saying JR can run this place any way he wants. If I don't like it, I'll either speak up about it in the hopes it will change or I'll take the money and run. Or, if I really step in it, I'll get the boot.

At the end of the day, this is less about free speech than it is about favoritism.

Look, you made some immature comment about freedom of speech (i.e., "If you disagree with me you're restricting my freedom of speech") on a private website owned by someone other than you. You got called on it. Move on.

Really? Then why is post #130, to which my post #131 was responding to, by you talking about it?

Sometimes you have to swat the skeeter to get him to stop trying to suck yer blood.

"one of the most awesome results of this war" is stretching a point a mite.

Your kidding, right?

How can salvation NOT be one of the "most awesome results" of this war?

Who knows if this soldier would have been saved if not for the possibility of facing death?

Who knows if he will come home?

If not what can be compared to eternal salvation?

JN 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

RO 6: [20] When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. [21] What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! [22] But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. [23] For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in* Christ Jesus our Lord.

Okay, you're right. This guy's baptism was one of "the most awesome results of this war."

While this is a personal high for this particular soldier, that statement that it is "one of the most awesome results of this war" is stretching a point a mite.

Could not disagree more heartily. Registered said it's one of the most awesome results of the war. He didn't say it was one of the war's objectives. What could be more awesome than one soldier making a public testimony and commitment of his life to Jesus Christ, and by such declaration, making it known to all the world, Arab and Jew, Christian and heathen, that he has now inherited eternal life, as he stands perhaps on the edge of death? I could go on for blocks!

Illbay, you should try it, and you would know it is the MOST AWESOME!, and very most important. Being born again (John 3.3) is awesome.
