*** PRESS RELEASE ***
Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas and affiliated
groups organize to Promote America, Demote the UN on
United Nations Day

October 22, 2003
Austin, TX -- Several pro-liberty and pro-American
sovereignty groups are planning a public protest
speech event of the UN on United Nations Day. This
Friday, October 24th, at the Texas State Capital,
these groups plan to mock the United Nations Flag to
underscore the miserable failure of the UN in its
self-proclaimed mission.

Founded fifty-eight years ago "to maintain
international peace and security, develop friendly
relations among nations and promote social progress,
better living standards and human rights", according
to it's own web site, the United Nations has proven to
be a miserable failure.

Don Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Republican
Liberty Caucus, cites the UN for its failure in the
Korean War. "The Korean War was the first serious
test of the UN's claim to be an effective organization
for 'promoting peace and security'. Under UN
auspices, a Korean war was waged that cost over 34,000
American lives, and over 500,000 Korean and Chinese
lives. One $trillion American taxpayer dollars and
fifty years of foreign military presence later, the
Korean peninsula awakens to a nuclear nightmare from
the impoverished North. How is it that the UN still
expects us to celebrate their failed global
imperialism - in virtually every part of the world?"

Various grassroots leaders have proposed other uses
for the worthless UN's flag. Some suggestions
proposed for the protest:

beach towels
head-piece burqas and bandannas
door mats
animal bedding
and OTHER

The group will read a proclamation prior to the flag
ceremonies.

Right i saw this on the net and im sorry but are you sick??
I bet any money if someone was burning an American flag you would call for their head.
why the United Nations flag, which was originaly set up including the US? the one organisation that cares for those countries that have nothing, the organisation that the US call upon to do dirty work for it, the organisation that has to step in to pick up the pieces after a little bit of offhand genocide is done (yes i am talking about israel palestine lebanon, and no im not anti-semitic). and the organistion that the US blatently ignore if money or oil or land is concerned, erm iraq.
when your burning that UN flag on October 24th take a moment to think of the good th UN trys to stand for and the help it does give, instead of your small badly informed racist minded and warmongering governments interpretation which you so happily lap up.
and go on i dare you call me an anti-american call me a terrorist, call me a liberal tree hugging hippy, thats the only come back people like you seem to have. but speaking on behalf of myself and only myself get a life and open your bloody eyes for gods sake, there is a huge beautiful world that exists and that doesnt mean just the USA, why you have to hate the world and only be concerned with yourselves oh and your little friend israel ill never understand, the world doesnt hate you it hates facism it hates corruption it hates the torture and oppression of innocent people and it hates war. no more war, peace and an end to poverty and your national security would be complete.

oh and ps your lookig for osama bin laden, isnt iraq, then iran???? a bit of a long way round to the hills of afghanistan??
