Republican presidential hopeful Rep. Ron Paul participates in the Londonderry Old Home Day Parade in Londonderry, NH, on August 18. Approximately 8,000 spectators lined up along the 1.2-mile parade route.
CENTER STRAFFORD, N.H. In a New Hampshire meadow on a recent weekend, Ron Paul is without a doubt the main draw at a Republican presidential straw poll that attracts several long shot candidates.
Paying little heed to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Rep. Tom Tancredo, the immigration-control firebrand from Colorado, a crowd circles the Texan to quiz him on everything from foreign policy to the Federal Reserve's intervention in the jittery financial markets.

ping
I was a t a friensds party yesterday evening, and Ron Paul was a topic of conversation. In very favorable way.
How is he polling nationally?
How many of his supporters are actually polled? How many own landline phones?
He’s probably leading and we just don’t know it, I guess.
I was at this event, it was awesome. Dr. Paul was mobbed all day, and his speech drew some really loud cheers from the crowd. Our grassroots organization is very strong here because for once people are really psyched to have a candidate they can support on at least 85% of the issues.
Libertarian ping! To be added or removed from my ping list freepmail me or post a message here.

I don’t know if Ron Paul can win, I do think that we are much better off with an Internet presence then with our old methods of reaching voters.
I would bet that Paul supporters are the most enthusisastic about supporting him.
>>quiz him on everything from foreign policy to the Federal Reserve’s intervention in the jittery financial markets.<<
I wonder what he said about the Fed.
In before the keyword vandals BUMP!;^)
Nope.
Your choice is .....?
My choice of what?
If you mean choice for President, I’d vote for Paul or not at all.
I’d like to see Paul with Hunter as VP or vice versa. I think Fred T would be great as Sec of State. Communists around the world would be needing diapers 24/7.
So did Deans. And we’ve all seen where it got him...
So did Deans. And we’ve all seen where it got him...
Fred T is an interventionist, R Paul is not. Fred T supported the 1999 NATO Bombing of Yugoslavia. Ron Paul led a coalition who actually sued Clinton over it. Not likely a compatible mix.
“Ron Paul’s campaign buzz resonates on Internet”
And Nowhere else. That matters. Of course that makes him no different that Hunter, Tancredo or John Cox.
“Hes probably leading and we just dont know it, I guess.”
Most likely by thirty or forty percentage points, LOL!
The 1994 agenda could have been back in play if our incumbents weren't only interested in business-as-usual. That's why Paul looks so good. I hope he goes all the way.
Did any of the Paulbots bother to ask him to explain this politics as usual position of his on earmarks?

Ron Paul’s $400 Million Earmarks
Seems Paul is a faurd. A demagouge who merely spews nice sounding retoric while being just another good old boy politican.
Your mention of 1994 reminds me how great the Contract with America was. In 2008, Republicans should have a similar set of promises. It should state that, if a republican president is elected and Republicans win majorities in both houses of Congress, they would pass a set of five bills. Here are some suggestions:
1. Each state should take care of the welfare needs of its residents. It’s unfair that federal tax money is sent, from states with low poverty rates, to Washington DC, where it’s redistributed and sent, in welfare payments, to states with high poverty rates. Congress should eliminate HUD, food stamps, unemployment benefits, and TANF. This would save about $150 billion per year.
2. The above law would save 8% of the budget, so Congress would pass an across-the-board 8% tax rate reduction.
3. Each bill will only have one subject. That would save money because no senator or representative could add unrelated unconstitutional pork barrel spending at the end of a bill.
4. A baby who is born in the U.S. may become a U.S. citizen only his or her parents prove that at least one of the child’s parents are in the U.S. legally.
Do you have any suggestions?
