" And by the way,...I don't think Ron Paul is near as crazy as Capn' John McQueeg."

I have to agree with you on that. McCain is simply not operating on all cylinders; however, Paul is out of touch with what is reality and I don't for a second believe that were he elected President, he could fix anything.

Maybe it's because we're too far gone.

Ain't that the truth? Dr. Paul, crazy old SOB or not, is offering TRUE conservatism; what it was meant to be.

The Republican and Democrat Sheep on all these boards, who keep voting in these same globalist traitors can shout all they want. It won't change the truth.

And by the way,...I don't think Ron Paul is near as crazy as Capn' John McQueeg.

He is the only one candidate left who is offering true conservatism.

Unfortunately as someone else pointed out, he is not a good politician. Look at all of these Ron Paul threads where people have nothing substantial to add to the discussion. They think they're cute posting the same tired pictures making fun of Ron Paul over and over again. It's like they scan for these threads and just pop there head in to post a stupid picture. No substance.

These are the kind of voters that Ron Paul will never be able to get. They want slick politicians. It's going to be tough to ever find a good politician per say who also believes in true conservatism and limited government. The two attributes seem to be mutually exclusive.

I disagree with Paul on several things, but he has a point (to some degree) on the Fed. When I was a boy 30+ years ago, by neighborhood was filled with large, middle-class families who supported themselves on 1 income. Now, it takes two. Why? Feminism is somewhat responsible, but so too is excessive govt spending (and ever expanding money supply resulting in inflation) for many. What is the main cause of the two major financial problems for parents: education inflation and healthcare inflation? Same two answers again. The messenger is wrong, but SOME of his message is right. The more Repubs attack him, the more I think he must be hitting a nerve or two. That said, I wouldn’t vote for the antisemite...

“Thomas Jefferson was one of the wealthiest men of his time”

Thomas Jefferson was arguably the most accomplished man who ever occupied the White House—naturalist, lawyer, educator, musician, architect, geographer, inventor, scientist, agriculturalist, and philologist. A true Renaissance man.

However, he died bankrupt. His finances were not on the top of his to do list.

I should clarify the antisemitic charge - Paul just seems to attract the type who go on about Zionists. Not sure if he really hates Jews or is just playing a nasty game (like the Clintons with Obama). Heck, FDR railed against throwing the money-changers out of the temple. I disagree with the article though- there are many Ron Paul signs in my area (liberal, upper middle class) and they are people who would have supported Gore or Nader in the past - libs and leftists. It is the war that they care about. Not gold or the Fed. They do hate Israel though. If Paul would disavow himself of these freaks, he could be an important spokesman for original intent. As it is, he’s using these slugs to gather money and fame.

ALso, it appears a Rothschild said that famous quote about controlling a b=nation through it’s money.

>Frankly I’m embarrassed to have in in my party.<

You should be embarrassed about what your party has become. Everything it was once against, starting with big government.

“When I was a boy 30+ years ago, by neighborhood was filled with large, middle-class families who supported themselves on 1 income. Now, it takes two.”

worth repeating - and add to this the disappearance of the tradtional family and we can add the costs of increased crime, child care, etc.

Puleeeeeeeeeeeeeze give it a rest with this lunatic.

That "lunatic" is going to be a thorn in your side all the way to the convention, schooling the other RINOs what REAL conservatism is all about. And other than the possibility of Romney, he's the ONLY Republican who can destroy Hillary/Obama in the general election, as he will neutralize her on the war and stop the libertarians and swing voters from going 3rd party, all while retaining the conservative base.

Ron Paul may not win the nomination, but he has completely rewritten the script. I guarantee you that Paul will be given a chair at the convention, and Romney or whoever's nominated will HAVE to co-opt some of Paul's stands or they're not going to get his supporters. Paul has the GOP by the balls, and it's high time FR recognizes and appreciate what he has done here: He has expanded the GOP with new and young voters, he has returned the GOP back to its traditional roots, and he is the only candidate from either party talking about the real issues.

So go ahead and keep calling Paul a lunatic or anti-war moonbat, but you do so at your own peril.

"Indoor plumbing, electricity, t.v., internet, air travel, cars, cell phones; there's never been, in the history of the world, such a pampered society as we have built for ourselves; and to think we did it with the Federal Reserve."

No kidding, all those were done with the Federal Reserve? You should author a book. Tell people how such amenities as electricity, indoor plumbing, airplanes and automobiles came to be as a result of the Federal Reserve.

It would be a phenomenal book when you reveal to your readers how the Federal Reserve accomplished these things before it was even created in 1913! The book will be riveting as it reveals the conspiracies that have led us to believe such people as Thomas Edison had anything to do with municipal electrical systems, Alexander Graham Bell anything to do with the telephone, or Henry Ford with mass production of automobiles. The book should also do well to strike down the notion of pressurized municipal water works before the Federal Reserve existed.

Heck, who knows, you might even hit stride by explaining to people how San Francisco burned to the ground following the 1908 earthquake, not because the water lines had broke, but because the water lines had never had any water. The city had just laid the lines waiting for a Federal Reserve to be created to bring pressurized water to the city.

"A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Ron Paul."

Now just a gosh darn minute there. The next thing you'll be telling me is that "A" is "A"!

Reduced to name calling only Mr. driveserve?

No insight? No searing point of fact?

Seems a touch vapid doesn’t it?

I have little problems with Paul on size of government and the IRS and many economic issues.

these gentlewomen do not necessarily agree with his foreign policy of peace

neither do many gentlemen in the GOP. And it's stops us cold from taking Paul seriously for higher office.
