Paleos have no legitimate place in a conservative movement but a website is a website. Marginalizing and treating "paleos" as the kooks that they are will purify the movement and set it back on track to accomplish things worth accomplishing distasteful though that may be to the philosopher king element.
You not only don't believe we have a repulic, you don't want anyone around who would remind you there ever was one. You want me "out", you take your best shot. We'll see how it goes down.
Having answered your question, what are people who favor cowardice in foreign affairs and who are allergic to the use of military force and who refuse to even TRY to end abortion or to even TRY to stop the spread of perversion posing as "marriage" and who openly offer support to the treasonous weasel paleoPaulie who openly sides with our nation's enemies in time of war doing on a conservative website????
I think that Super Tuesday showed that result as your treasonous boyo got a big 5%. I want the conservative movement to be the conservative movement and not to tolerate the paleo enemy within which is a half vast (or however that is spelled) collection of druggies, antiAmerican paleopeacecreeps, babykillers (and their oh so clever “It’s none of my business pals) and sexual perverts or their supporters. Again, this worship of the term “republic” is amazing as suggezted by such uses as “Union kf Soviet Socialist Republics”, the “People’s Republic of (red) China” and similar terms. The godless and evil rulers of revolutionary France pretended to be a “republic.” Whatever they all were, they were not conservative.
You tell my we do when it's convenient, and then you tell me we don't when it's convenient. It appears you're just here to prostheletize, and will take whatever political position gets you some attention at the moment.
The Constitution guarantees the States a republican form of government. You want to tell them "You lost it, and you're not getting it back, and now you're going to do things our way. Welcome to the New Right."
The hell you say.
What we have here is a lack of principles on the part of Sen McCain. McCain is of the opinion that Gummint is the answer (second only to McCain himself) for all problems, real or perceived.
In the case at hand, McCain established another set of legal hoops which tend to ensure his (and others') incumbency. There was no need for this crap, and you know it as well as I do. Making nice about it is just plain wrong.
If this were ACTUAL principled legislation, Jim Sensenbrenner would have voted for it...and he did not do so. That should tell you something.
Say what you like about Her Thigness or Obomoamimeibma whatever. No matter how I vote, the Hildebeeste will win this November.
BTW, I conditioned my "not McCain" vote on the condition of a poll in Wisconsin pre-election day. I suspect that McC will be 10 or more points behind HRC--that is, over 125K votes.
I have asked you about fifteen times for your PRACTICAL p[lan for restoring the constitution. I am still waiting. Your silence to date is far more telling than your posts.
You get me and everone else who disagrees with you purged from FR, or crammed into your ideological template, then come see me about how I’m going to accomplish what I want.
Think of the NFL draft. Wise teams take the best player available with top choices. The mere fact that a team needs a star quarterback does not mean that the team will get one in the draft. Life seldom works out that well (in politics only in 1980 in my memory). My Yankees have been redundantly drafting pitcher after pitcher after pitcher during the last 2 or 3 years, both starters and relievers and the crop should be ready to be harvested to a large extent this summer. Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, and Ian Kennedy and very possibly Alan Horne, all as starters. There are numerous relievers as well.
In the event that the Yanks do not win the World Series this year, they will make it a relentless habit in short order. Their recent drafts have been a lot smarter than holding their breath until they turn blue if they can't get that one player they most wanted or even needed.
If the Demonrats take the White House this year, we are in for two or more very terrible years and the conservative farm system is weaker than it ought to be. Reread Rules for Radicals and Reveille for Radicals by Her Satanic Thighness's mentor Saul Alinsky for a view of the potential future. We don't really know who Obama's mentor(s) may be, but I am betting that it would hurt him if we did know.
The paleo farm system is non-existent as is their practical planning. They want to obsess on what are essentially non-issues or, as in foreign and military policy, they want to be Keystone Kops with neither guns nor badges. Some comedy, no tangible results.
And you don't have squat for a plan to do it, do you?
To your impudent suggestion: Not in this lifetime. Don't like that? Too bad!
Unless the AlQaeda caucus can engage in some emergency measures, Dr. Demento seems stuck at 5% of GOP primary voters. Patriots would not be caught dead voting for the treasonous little weasel.
I don’t have a specific plan for preventing Brittany Spears from claiming to be the latest incarnation of Mother Teresa either but that also seems too obvious to need mentioning. If you must have a plan for how to purge paleos from claiming to be conservatism, ostracism has been the time tested and successful method and it shall be again. Now where is YOUR plan for restoring the constitution or other paleo delusions? Your silence on that is still far more eloquent than your posts on anything.
Go grab a bottle of port, and a few volumes of weepy post World War I poetry, get together with the Galveston Treason Weasel, with Weepy Walter Jones, with UpChuck Hegel and and have a weepy blubberfest in your collective cups over the state of the effort to remake conservatism in the paleo image of a renewal of the cowardice of the likes of Neville Chamberlain.
Holding the views that you do as a paleo, getting drunk will ease your earned pain. Please DO NOT shut up. The more you post the easier it will become to shun paleoism, a virus that will not survive the light of day.
Civility does not equate to buttsmooching or to make-believe Kumbaya gatherings pretending that ideological differences do not matter. The actual conservative movement is deserving of respect as paleowhateverism is not. Therein lies the difference to which you wrongly object.
You have a plan to insult anyone who disagrees with you into compliance. And it’s already in trouble.
