It does not take “balls” to say something that no one hears.

“... but people do not want to hear about tomorrow’s problems.”

Including many Freeper, who mostly identify themselves as conservatives. They are nothing of the kind, and prove this by using the DU-like responses to the issues. Is it any wonder that the Republican party is in shambles?

I think it’s very balanced as they’re nearly identical.

It did that years ago. It was 4 trillion in the 80s. Now it’s 48 trillion.

You got that right, brother. When “conservative” are no longer conservative, it is moot to discuss a resurgence of conservatism. Vote for your pocketbook and load up on ammunition, the American Experiment is coming to a painful conclusion.

I disagree. I think that Ron Paul is a joke. And like many jokes, there’s a lot of mileage left in them. That’s why he keeps getting the treatment he gets. When he goes (oh please, oh please, pretty please), we’ll move on to something else the lunatic-RonPaul-fringe brings to the table.

And therein lays the problems, we have gotten scattered with each viewpoint looking out only for their own interests.

Unfortuantely, if we do not get our “merde’” straight, it will be the Clinton Coronation in 2009, make no mistake that will happen just by looking at the turnout numbers from the primaries.

Obama got TWICE the votes that John F Kerry did in SC, and that is even excluding the votes Hilde and the Silken Pony received..

There were 200,000 more Democrats who voted in SC then there were Republicans, same story in MI as well.

If we want Shamnesty and massive tax increases and National Healthcare, let us just continue to eat our own...

Size of the Budget is almost 3 trillion, the Debt and Deficit is that the 48 trillion number?

Either way, add in State and Country and Muncipality Taxes and we are heading for a calamity of Taxes if “We” do not change our policies and spending habits.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for a nut-job. I will not be voting for the nut job anywhere.

Re-read post #32.

Most of the Paul supporters are people who never cared about politics before. They come from all walks of life. Are you really going to call these people "nutjobs," when for years FR used to complain about people not taking part in the political process (the sheeple)?

When the general election rolls around and the GOP nominee loses because it alienated Paul and his supporters, don't come crying to me.

Thomas Jefferson was one of the wealthiest men of his time, but even he would consider the people in the middle class for more fortunate than himself.

Indoor plumbing, electricity, t.v., internet, air travel, cars, cell phones; there's never been, in the history of the world, such a pampered society as we have built for ourselves; and to think we did it with the Federal Reserve.

That Americans today would value such crap is a sign of decadence and decay.

Look around you, at what such pampering has done to the attitudes of Americans.

Our moral, mental, and physical vitality are sapped by such idiotic contrivances.

A vote for Paul is a vote for McCain.

Nope. A vote for any candidate is a vote for that candidate.

Bwahahahaha!!!

That’s hilarious! Also, a bit fascist: “destroy”, “neutralize” , “peril”. Have you or anyone else noticed that particular ugly vein running through most if not all the lunatic’s supporters?

No worries, the numbers run together after awhile, and Hilde wants even more spending?

Many things can be said about Ron Paul, “big spender on the Nanny State” is not one of them.

To Paul’s point about the Federal Reserve, at even a low 2% inflation rate, “we” are losing 2 dollars on every 100 dollars just like a hidden tax, we lose purchasing power and value.

“When I was a boy 30+ years ago, by neighborhood was filled with large, middle-class families who supported themselves on 1 income. Now, it takes two.”

Although it was not an action by the Federal Reserve, but one of then President Nixon, it illustrated how the tampering of money by the federal government can have extremely dire consequences. I have written of this many times, but many people younger than myself had no knowledge of it.

In 1967, at age 18, I started my first real job in a paper factory. Most everyone over 21 years of age was married and had at least one child. Most had two or more. Also, most of the white and blue collar employees were male. There was stability in the American family.

In 1971, President Nixon issued an Executive Order freezing wages. The freeze had no effect on slowing the rate of inflation. It took only a few months to see how rising prices without rising incomes hit those I worked with. The men, then the heads of households, spent their breaks and lunches searching for answers to the economic strains that had been placed upon them. Many were extremely upset that their wives were considering seeking work to make ends meet. Some spoke of divorce if ever their wife did take a job.

It was a sobering time. It is when the American family began its decline, and all due to the tampering with money on a federal level. The Federal Reserve has such effects on all American society today. Most people are so wrapped up in living day to day that they have little time to reflect on how actions by the Federal Reserve bring long term negative repercussions into their lives.

So go ahead and keep calling Paul a lunatic or anti-war moonbat

It is amazing. These folks don't even try to argue against what he says. They just call him names. Well, Ron Paul is obscure, and he is not a good politician, and some of his positions are a bit out there, but he is still attracting a lot of support. Why? Is it the loonie wing of the Republican party that support him? I don't think so. I think he is supported because he is the one candidate who stands for genuine conservative principles.
